Diante das modernizações ocorridas no território brasileiro nas últimas décadas e o repensar das funções do Estado em face ao aprofundamento das desigualdades sócio-espaciais especialmente após os anos 80, as empresas passam a assumir um novo papel como mitigadoras destes problemas por meio da chamada responsabilidade social. Este discurso configura toda uma psicosfera inédita promovida pelas fundações e institutos empresariais que se multiplicam neste período, juntamente com as certificações e normas privadas voltadas para a promoção do novo papel social das empresas. Procuramos, primeiramente, fazer uma periodização que buscasse os fundamentos das ações sociais das empresas e os valores que ditaram a relação entre estas e os lugares onde se encontram. No período atual, ao pesquisar como estas ações ocorrem territorialmente, estabelecemos três organizações básicas: ações concentradas, pontuais e dispersas. Cada tipo de organização pressupõe uma combinação específica de verticalidades e horizontalidades que conduzem a relações diferenciadas entre a dinâmica do lugar e as ações empresariais. Deste modo, buscamos desmistificar a estratégia empresarial através da sua concretização no uso do território. / In face of the modernization taking place in Brazilian territory in the last decades and the rethink of the State\'s functions with the deepen social-spacial unequalities specially after 80\'s, the companies started to have a new importance as mitigate agents of these problems using the, as called, social responsibility. This speech sets up an unseen psychosphere promoted by the foundations and institutes of the companies which multiplies in this period, as the certifications and the private standards turned to the new social aspect of the companies also do. We view, firstly, to do a periodisation that search the companies\' social acts\' basements and the valors that prescribed the relation between the company and the place it is installed. Nowadays, when searching how these actions occur territorially, we established three basics organizations: focused, punctual and diffuse actions. Each organization presupposes a specific combination of verticalities and horizontalities that aim to diferential relations between the place\'s dynamic and the companies\' actions. In this way, we attempted to demystify the corporate strategy through the manner in which it uses the territory.

A presente dissertação tem por objetivo central investigar a lógica de funcionamento e de localização dos bancos de investimento no território brasileiro. Esta lógica possui determinações mais gerais ligadas ao capitalismo dirigido pelas finanças e é também um reflexo da atual restruturação urbana, caracterizada pela concomitância entre os processos de dispersão territorial de unidades produtivas (que trabalham com informações padronizadas) e de intensa concentração dos serviços especializados avançados (que coletam, interpretam e produzem informações complexas e instáveis). A partir destes pressupostos, analisamos a mudança qualitativa no uso financeiro do território brasileiro por meio da topologia dos bancos de investimento entre os anos de 1966 e 2013, dando destaque a ação recente de duas instituições deste tipo: o BR Partners e o BES Investimento do Brasil. A desregulamentação financeira, articulada ao incremento da fluidez imaterial do território, está no cerne da passagem de uma topologia mais regionalizada para outra mais verticalizada dos bancos de investimento, topologia que aumentou a primazia da cidade de São Paulo na rede urbana brasileira. Como corolário desse processo vê-se, na esfera da estrutura urbana de São Paulo, uma expansão do Complexo Corporativo da Metrópole, fundado agora em novas centralidades, cada vez mais intensivas em técnica, ciência e informação em seu ambiente construído. / The main objective of this master\'s thesis is to research on the logic behind operation and location of investment banks in Brazil. This logic has more general determinations related to finance-led capitalism and is also a reflection of contemporary urban restructuring, characterized by the coincidence between the processes of territorial dispersion of production units (which works with standardized information) and intense concentration of advanced specialized services (which collect, interpret, and produce complex and unstable information). From these assumptions, we analyze the qualitative change in the financial use of Brazilian territory through the topology of investment banks from 1966 to 2013, highlighting the recent action of two institutions: BR Partners and BES Investimento do Brasil. Financial deregulation, hinged to increased immaterial fluidity of territory, is at the heart of the passage of a more regionalized topology to a more vertical one of investment banks, a topology that increased the primacy of the city of São Paulo in the Brazilian urban network. As a corollary of this process in the sphere of urban structure of São Paulo, an expansion of the Metropolitan Corporate Complex can be observed. It is now established in new centralities, increasingly intensive in technique, science and information in its built environment.

O presente trabalho busca compreender a importância que o Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES) ganha a partir de 2003 com as ampliações dos financiamentos voltados para a construção de sistemas de engenharia, não somente dentro do território nacional, mas também no exterior (sobretudo na América do Sul). Partindo do processo de integração física das nações sulamericanas e da instalação de solidariedades geográficas (Santos, 1996) entre as regiões do continente, procuramos analisar as complementaridades nos territórios envolvidos em financiamentos dos bancos de desenvolvimento, em especial o BNDES, no qual se articulam Estados e empresas privadas na produção de novos sistemas de engenharia no continente. Nesse sentindo, buscamos compreender as verticalidades e horizontalidades geradas no espaço continental, dando ênfase no caso da fronteira do Brasil com a Guiana Francesa, onde foram instalados nos fixos geográficos que afetam diretamente a integração destes dois países (principalmente a Ponte Binacional Brasil-Guiana e a BR-156). / This paper seeks to understand the importance that the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) wins from 2003 with the expansion of financing aimed at the construction of engineering systems, not only within the country but also abroad (especially in South America). Starting from the physical integration of South American nations and the installation of geographical solidarities (Santos, 1996) between the regions of the continent process, we analyzed the complementarities in the territories involved in financing from development banks, especially BNDES, which are articulated States and private companies in the production of new engineering systems on the continent. In that sense, we seek to understand the uprights and horizontalities generated in continental space, emphasizing the case of Brazil\'s border with French Guiana, where they were installed in the geographic fixed that directly affect the integration of these two countries (mainly Brazil-Guyana Binational Bridge and BR-156).
