Virtualizace v IS/ICT / Virtualization in IS/ICT

Naiman, Michal January 2009 (has links)
The goal of the thesis is to examine and assess actual portfolio of products on the market for server visualization and to compare performance of individual products with performance of the physical machine. The research and the assessment of the actual portfolio will be carried out with the focus on current trends in the area of server virtualization, reasons for realization, and important aspects for their successful implementation. The comparison will be carried out in areas of supported platforms, hardware emulation spectra, hardware limitations, licensing and prices. Further it will be performed comparison in the form of benchmark performance in areas of CPU, RAM, hard-drive throughput, and network throughput of most commonly used products for server virtualization.

Virtuální týmy / Virtual Teams

Kopecký, Michal January 2011 (has links)
This thesis explores issues of virtual teams. This research is running on premise of the University. The aim of this paper is to discover psychological aspects and specifics of University's virtual teams. Also, it should ascertain difference between common team cooperation and Managerial Game's team cooperation. The Managerial Game is some lesson which it has all preconditions for virtual team formation. In theoretical part, I am focused on theory about virtual organizations and virtual teams. In practical part, I am researching aims realization using by questionnaires and moderated interviews.

Analýza podoby IS v MSP v době Cloud Computingu / Analysis of the form of information system in SME at the time of Cloud Computing

Brýl, Přemysl January 2011 (has links)
This master thesis deals with the analysis of the possibilities of Cloud Computing for information system solutions in small and medium businesses. The main objective is to analyze these options, identify key areas for the transition to the cloud and propose an approach to develop Information system in this direction. The main contribution of this work is the practical experience which is involved in a view of the problems being solved and an emphasis on aspects that have been verified in practices. The main text of the work is divided into five chapters. The first chapter defines the basic concepts and limitations on which further work is based. The second chapter deals with the current form of IS in SMEs, its description and identifying problems. The third chapter analyzes the Cloud Computing from the perspective of the suitability of various models for SMEs, identifies the major trends that affect the Cloud Computing and describes some basic elements on which Cloud Computing is based. It also analyzes the issue of security. The fourth chapter deals with the state of Cloud Computing market and identification of key problem areas which need to be solved in various stages of market development. The last chapter uses several case studies to show a meaningfulness and readiness of Cloud Computing for running information system. In the end the recommended approach to the adoption of cloud services is defined.

Automatické ověřování softwarových balíků za pomocí DNS / Automatic verification of software packages with help of DNS

Sehnoutka, Martin January 2018 (has links)

Virtuální servery s operačním systémem Fedora / Virtual servers with Fedora operating system

Gajdušek, Ondřej January 2021 (has links)
This thesis deals with the PlanetLab Server Manager application whose aim is to simplify application development within the experimental distributed network PlanetLab. Thesis presents the PlanetLab network and describes its infrastructure. Application PlanetLab Server Manager, shortly abbreviated as plbmng, is described, its current state is evaluated and the existing functionality is presented to the reader. Further work focuses mainly on the implementation of the new functionality that is a software distribution and job scheduling to run the software at the specified time. The last part of the work presents an experiment that demonstrates a real-life usage of the newly added functionality. Work results are published at the public repository on the GitLab platform. The application was published at the package index for Python Packages - PyPI.

Automatická konfigurace pracovních stanic Cisco akademie / Automatic configuration of workstations in Cisco academy laboratory

Homolka, Jiří January 2009 (has links)
My thesis is focused on the subject of working with distant stations connected with the laboratory control of Cisco academy. Station operations, i.e. laboratory control, have been carried in the environment of the Linux operating systems. The first part of the thesis includes a description of the laboratory, its network architecture and software equipment. Also, the VMware tool is described here. VMware tool is intended for virtualization of computer stations, where the virtual station is created. In this virtual station another operating system may be run. The problems of the command interpreter, its function and possibilities are described here too. Main attention is devoted to the Bash command interpreter and to the creation of the scripts. There are descriptions of the basic tools intended for the network communication with the distant stations. Among the most important parts belong the protected communication, the production of the autentization keys as well as the tool for data recording on more stations at the same time. The description of the access rights to the files and directories is included too. The target of this thesis was to create the scripts in the Bash programming language. The scripts are focused on working with the laboratory stations. They are the sublayers of the common project for this laboratory control. They were developed for the cooperation with the the web interface and MySQL database, created by Bc. Zdeněk Hrabal. The Scripts are intended for the finding information about the stations and virtual systems, and also for the recording images and configuration files of the virtual systems at the distant stations. Recording files and directories is enabled too. The other scripts deal with the erasing and changing of the rights of the particular files and directories. Setting commads with the super-user competence is used at this place. The scripts for the switching on and off the laboratory workstations were created too. To solve the problem described above I chose to develope more scripts. Each of them subserves the particular part of the task. The form of the input and output data of the scripts was select with the reference to the cooperation with the web interface and database. The data are implemented by the form of the input and output files. The output information and the process of the carried operations are displayed through the web interface. The scripts together with the web interface are placed and run from the school server adela.utko.feec.vutbr.cz. In the thesis the settings of the access privileges for the current directories and the files of virtual systems and scripts are presented too.

Automatizovaný systém pro instalace virtuálních strojů v prostředí operačního systému GNU/Linux / Automated system for installing and configuring GNU/Linux virtual hosts

Horák, Daniel January 2011 (has links)
This work deals with possibilities of administration of virtual machines (mainly from the developer's point of view) and available methods for automatic installation of GNU/Linux distributions. First part contains the information about virtualisation technologies and possibilities to configure them with a libvirt library. The definition and specification of each part of virtualisation environment (virtual machines, disks, networks) using XML is described. Further more the possibilities of automatic installation of Linux distributions based on RedHat and Debian considering the virtualisation environment are discussed. The possibility of copying an existing disk with installed system is also mentioned. In a practical part a server application for control and management of virtual machines including automatic installation of operating system is proposed and realised.
