Holländerová, Dita January 2011 (has links)
Title: Evaluation of EMG Activity of the Shoulder Girdle Muscles during Exercises with Thera-Band in Aquatic Environment and on Land. Objective: The main goal of this thesis is to determine a degree of muscle activity of upper trapezius muscle and other selected muscles in the aquatic environment and on land and to compare the values. Furthermore, to determine whether the upper trapezius muscle activates in the aquatic environment later than on land, compared to other selected muscles. Methods: This is the case of study, where the degree of muscle activity and the onset of activation of the upper trapezius muscle and other selected muscle is analyzed and then evaluated during shoulder abduction in two different environments using elastic resistance strength (yellow Thera-Band). As an objectification method surface electromyography had been chosen. To ensure the same set of initial conditions the abduction was performed in sitting position. The same chair was used in water and on land. Four female participants part in the experiment. Findings: The degree of muscle activity of upper trapezius muscle in the aquatic environment significantly decreased. It wasn't confirmed, that the upper trapezius muscle has been activated later in water than on land. Timing of selected muscles in aquatic environment...

Novotná, Petra January 2011 (has links)
Title: Effect of water temperature on the electrical activity of muscle Objective: Main objective of this work is to determine the spatiotemporal changes in muscle activation depending on different properties of the environment. All this at a defined muscle power output. Measured by hand dynamometer. Methods: This is a case study. Is processed and analyzed the relationship of the forearm muscles against the aquatic environment (different temperatures - 15 řC, 24 řC and 35 řC) and against dry. Muscular power output is defined and measured by hand dynamometer. Muscular power output was determined as isometric contraction flexors of wrist and fingers of dominant hand. It all in three different modes. The research group were included 5 healthy individuals (3 women, 2 men). As objectivization method was determined surface electromyography. Findings: There is no influence of water temperature (15 řC, 24 řC and 35 řC) on spatiotemporal activation of muscle. It all at a defined muscle power output. There is also no changes on spatiotemporal activation of muscle in aquatic and dry. Keywords: muscle contraction, temperature, water environment, surface electromyography, Water Surface EMG

Ochrana mezinárodních vodních toků / The protection of international watercourses

Janoščíková, Markéta January 2011 (has links)
Protection of International Watercourses The purpose of the Thesis is to analyze the present degree of the protection of international watercourses and to describe three main levels: international law, European law and Czech law. Although the issue of environmental protection and sustainable use of international watercourses is considered to be one of the most significant problems of the present society, the topic has been rather neglected by Czech scholars. Analytical, logical and historical methods were primarily applied in the study. The thesis is composed of four chapters, which are furthermore divided into sections and subsections. The term "international watercourses" usually designates rivers, lakes and groundwater sources shared by two or more states. Chapter one deals with international customary law (especially equitable utilization and no harm principle), international treaty law (global and regional cooperation as well as non- binding documents) and selected major cases important for the evolution of protection of water. In the past, international water law concerned mostly with allocating water supply between riparian states. Nowadays the law concentrates more on permissible uses of watercourses and preventing pollution of freshwater resources as well as water ecosystems. The second...

Popis podstatných rozdílů technické přípravy ve vodním slalomu a rychlostní kanoistice v kategorii K1 / A description of significant differences in technical preparation of water slalom and canoe sprint in K1 category

Mokrý, Michal January 2010 (has links)
Thesis title: A description of significant differences in technical preparation of water slalom and canoe sprint in K1 category. Thesis objective: The objective of the thesis is to determine the main features typical of technical preparation of kayakers in Czech canoeing clubs and to describe possible differences in the preparation of sprint kayakers and water slalom kayakers. Methods of data processing: The work is based on mixed research. The racers and coaches were presented with a questionnaire concerning technical preparation. Collected output was analyzed using the methods of quantitative research and of analytical induction. Results: Several significant differences were detected between the technical preparation of sprint kayakers and water slalom racers. To develop basic kayaking strokes, water slalom racers in mostly younger age categories use other water sports, especially wild water, more frequently. In preparatory exercises sprint racers limit themselves to stroke sequencing. Water slalom racers use a wider range of preparatory exercises to develop basic kayaking stroke. In order to gain feedback, water slalom racers use videorecording analysis several times a month and that not only during technical preparation period. In sprint canoeing the videorecording analysis is used...

Struktura zooplanktonu v nádržích Jizerských hor v období vrcholící antropogenní acidifikace a zotavování z acidifikace (1992-2011) / Structure of zooplankton in reservoirs of the Jizera Mountains during the peaking anthropogenic acidification and recovery from acidification (1992-2011)

Bímová, Tereza January 2013 (has links)
Acidic atmospheric deposition and acidification of soil and water on the Earth's surface, due to emissions of sulfur and nitrogen into the atmosphere, have led to drastic changes in the composition of surface waters and their biota in many regions of the world over the last century. The number of species and biomass of phytoplankton, zooplankton and benthos were reduced, or some components (zooplankton, zoobenthos, fish) became extinct. In the Jizera Mountains (Northern Bohemia, Czech Republic), the man-made acidification has always been combined with a natural acidity (dystrophy) of waters, caused by a high amount of organic acids. Despite a strong recovery of water chemistry from acidification, that has started in the 1990s, biological recovery is delayed and much more complex. This master thesis is a study of the succession of zooplankton (crustaceans) in mountain reservoirs Souš, Bedřichov and Josefův Důl after decades of strong acidification. Biological recovery from acidification has been in progress differently in the drinking water reservoir Souš, which has long been limed, in the Bedřichov reservoir with naturally high content of organic material, and in the drinking water reservoir Josefův Důl, which is the largest and deepest one and which was most affected by acidification. Recovery of...

Právní úprava ochrany vodních toků / Legal regulation of watersourse protection

Altmann, Martin January 2019 (has links)
Thesis title: Legal regulation of watercourse protection Abstract Watercourses are the most important form of surface water occurrence in the Czech Republic, and therefore their condition also significantly affects the overall state of all our aquatic ecosystems. Despite of it, the ecological and chemical status of watercourses is still not satisfying. This fact requires an increase in the efficiency and complexity of their legal protection, which is the subject of this thesis. The aim of the first part of this thesis is to describe the national legal regulation of watercourses protection in the context of European and international law. At present, national and international legislation is significantly influenced by European legislation provided by the Water Framework Directive. The first part pays attention to the instruments of national legislation, that are relevant to the second part of the work. The first aim of the second part of this thesis is to analyse the basic measures proposed in the two selected sub-basins in order to achieve the objectives of the Water Framework Directive, particularly the good water status. Following this analysis, the second aim is to find out what specific instruments the current legislation provides for the realization of the proposed measures and whether these...
