Problematika pitné a užitkové vody v obci Štěpánovice

Fic, Pavel January 2019 (has links)
The thesis, divided into two main parts, deals with the issue of drinking and service water in the municipality of Štěpánovice. The first part focuses on the issue, including the explanation of related terms, while the second part describes the current state of water management of the area, which is based on obtained data and information from the municipality and its households. Recommendations for the water management in the village of Štěpánovice are included in the summary of the thesis. The recommendations focus especially on an environmentally friendly use of drinking water and a more efficient management of service water. Due to water scarcity problems, the municipality was advised to draw up a strategic document "Plan for Drought and Water Scarcity", and a hydrogeological exploration was recommended to the municipality in locations with higher water scarcity.

Elektrokoagulace při úpravě znečištěných vod / Electrocoagulation method for treatment of polluted waters

Krušinová, Zuzana January 2021 (has links)
Many drinking water treatment facilities face problems with algal organic matter (AOM) due to eutrophication of the environment and frequent occurrence of algal blooms. AOM can cause deterioration of water organoleptic properties, but the main threat is the potential for acting as a precursor of toxic disinfection by-products (DBPs). The presented master thesis deals with the possibility of using electrocoagulation (EC) - an innovative electrochemical method - to remove cellular organic matter (COM) produced by cyanobacteria Microcystis aeruginosa from drinking water. EC is similar to widely used chemical coagulation, the difference is that during EC the coagulant is produced by electrochemical dissolution of an iron or an aluminum electrode. Synthetic water with COM concentration of 5.5 and 8.5 mg/L of TOC was used for the experiments. The target value of conductivity (4.5 mS/cm) was reached by addition of NaCl. pH of the solution was adjusted by HCl and NaOH. During some of the experiments, NaHCO3 was added to increase the ANC4.5. The experiments were conducted in a batch mode with a stainless-steel cathode and an aluminum or an iron anode. The coagulant dosage was regulated by applied electric current passing through the electrodes. Flocs were separated by sedimentation and centrifugation. COM...

Ekotoxicita odpadních vod / Ecotoxicity of wastewater

Hachová, Jana January 2016 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals ecotoxicity wastewater with a focus on wastewater of Motol University Hospital. Motol University Hospital is the largest hospital in the Czech Republic and has the largest production of wastewater. Hospital wastewater contains many chemicals, pharmaceuticals, disinfectants, heavy metals etc.. And these substances cannot be completely eliminated during wastewater treatment. Such water is then taken into the surface and groundwater where it can be dangerous for the environment. There were studied infectious wastewater before disinfection and discharged wastewater desinfected by solution of a sodium hypochloride. Ecotoxicity was determined by acute toxicity tests which according to valid Czech technical standards, methodological guidelines and legislation. Tests were carried out to representatives of fish (aquarium fish Poecilia reticulata), zooplankton (daphnia Daphnia magna), phytoplankton (green algae Desmodesmus subspicatus), higher plants (white mustard Sinapis alba) and luminescent bacterium Vibrio fisheri

Analýza zdrojů znečištění v povodí vodního zdroje Skalice nad Svitavou a návrh ochranných opatření z hlediska znečištění dusičnany

Boráková, Jana January 2018 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on an analysis of the sources of pollution in the catchment area of the water source in Skalice nad Svitavou, which is used as a supply of drinking water. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the issues related to the given topic, as well as the area of interest and the water source. Field research was conducted in the catchment area of the water source, and samplings spots for monitoring water quality in the watercourse of Úmoří were determined, as the watercourse runs near the water source. Samples were collected every three months and, subsequently, analysed in the laboratory of ÚAKE AF MENDELU. The findings were evaluated according to the valid legislation. The water quality of the water source was also evaluated for the time period of the last five years. On the basis of all of these findings, protective measures were proposed to improve the protection of the water source.
