Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado de Minas Gerais / The search for solutions to the various problems of power quality, especially to
voltage deviation from the standard values, account today, with an extensive range of
products aiming above all the dynamic regulation of the supply voltage. Despite this
recognition, the challenges to find alternatives technologies that take into account the
use of compensators with more attractive operational and economic properties, are still
motivating research worldwide. Among the devices based on the principle of
consumption or supply of reactive power, in the 60 s came a product design nominated
by Reactor Core Saturated Compensator- CERNS. This device is constituted by an
inductive unit, comprising a magnetic core and windings with special features,
connected in parallel with a capacitor unit. Although this equipment has been widely
used in the past, the lack of publications on the subject resulted in a large gap in
knowledge domain and dissemination of this technology. This fact contributed to a
demand for dedicated efforts in recent years by national and international researchers.
In the light of the attractions offered by this philosophy for voltage regulators, the
subject has reawakened the interest for research and developments about the project,
construction and operation of these compensators, thus aiming the technology domain.
On the above, added to efforts previously made by national institutions, arises the
present thesis aimed at providing a computational program to assist in the specification
and basic design of saturated core reactors and means for determination of the equivalent
electrical parameters needed to the model of the equipment proposed and implemented
in the ATP simulator. Finally, performance studies are carried out to highlight and to
validate the operational efficiency and computational model developed.
operacional e do modelo computacional desenvolvido. / Doutor em Ciências

Posouzení možností regulace napětí v distribučních sítích nn / Evaluation of possibilities for voltage control in a LV distribution networkBolgár, Robert January 2013 (has links)
This paper deals with possible ways of voltage regulation. Theoretical part includes a search of published methods and the available voltage regulators. Acquired theoretical knowledge has been applied in the development of mathematical models of two selected controllers applied to the testing network. The result of this work is a summary of the outcomes of dynamic simulations with two selected regulators at various locations in testing network. Comparing the results of dynamic simulation for two selected states was chosen the most appropriate regulator and its optimal location in testing network.

Posouzení možnosti provozu zdrojů v dané oblasti při nestandardních provozních stavech sítě VN / Evaluation of nonstandard operation possibilities of power sources in MV networkČáslava, Jiří January 2012 (has links)
This Master's thesis deals with solution of nonstandard operation connection of E.ON's 22kV distribution network in given area, considering the possibilities of operating dispersed electric power sources currently available, as well as possible power sources connected to the distribution network in the future and its potential operation limitation. A part of this paper is a description of calculation methods used for network evaluation in steady state, with emphasis on linear calculations used by E-Vlivy program, in which the operational possibilities are simulated. Therefore, a description of this program is also included. Suggested operation possibilities correspond with E.ON's valid distribution network operation rules. The outcome of this paper will serve to E.ON's 22kV network's controllers as materials for network operating in nonstandard operation states.
