Tomou-se como ponto de partida as concepções de infância trazidas por Áries; a seguir, foram apontadas algumas idéias dos manuais desenvolvidos por Erasmo - Civilidade Pueril, e pela Companhia de Jesus - a Ratio Studiorum, e por Comenius - a Didática Magna, além da tese de Neil Postman sobre o suposto desaparecimento da infância. Optou-se por dimensões da psicanálise como um dos referenciais para interpretação dos depoimentos colhidos. Para tal, foram considerados o texto Totem e Tabu de Freud, assim como as discussões acerca das relações possíveis entre psicanálise e educação, especificamente complexo de Édipo e docência, trazidas por: Kupfer, Lajonquiére, Pereira e Millot. A pesquisa delineou-se como qualitativa, optando-se pela história oral, com entrevistas seguidas de transcrições. Alguns m / The present research, which aims at childhood and the memories of young education teachers, bases on the following question: how are childhood memories related to the young education teachers’ practice? It was taken as a starting point for the childhood conceptions brought by Ariès. After that, some ideas on the manuals developed by Erasmo were pointed out – Puerile Civility and by Jesus Company – a Ratio Studiorum, and by Comenius – the Magna Didactic as well as the Neil Postman thesis on the supposed disappearance of childhood. Psychoanalysis dimensions were chosen as one of the references for the interpretation of the collected testimonials. For such a task, the text Totem and Taboo from Freud was considered along with the discussions about possible relations between psychoanalysis and education, specifically the Oedipus complex and docence brought by Kupfer, Lajonquiére, Pereira and Millot.
