Dendroflóra zámeckého parku v Žinkovech. / Woody plants in the Žinkovy castle park (Plzeň region).

This thesis deals with an inventory survey of tree species in the castle park in Žinkovy. The park was founded in 1896 - 1898 and is one of the best preserved castle parks on the southern Pilsen (Czech Republic). Since its inception the owners, management and appearance of the park have been changed several times. The inventory survey covers 81 tree species including their cultivar varieties. Furthermore the thesis compares the results with previous inventory surveys, and preserved documents and provides concept of new management measures. A list of the tree species and these comparisons are summarized in the appendix of the thesis.

Background: First institution specialized in treatment of alcohol was opened by Bedrich Konarik-Becvan in 1911 in Velke Kuncice. This hospital was closed in 1915 and therefore there was the necessity of creation of the new medical institution. The czechoslovak abstinent association along with Bedrich Konarik found suitable premises and then in 1923 the second anti-alcoholic institution in Tuchlov was opend. Aims: The aim of this thesis is to map the existence (commencement and the expiry) of Abstinential pension Chateau Tuchlov. Use historical documents to describe the composition of the patients, their succesful/unsuccesful treatment attempts, and which therapeutical procedures were used. Methods: The content quality analysis of historical documents, which have not been yet completed has been used for the data collection. The key information are archive sheets from the National Museu archive, so like periodical magazines "Vyssi narod" and "Zdravy lid". Results: Since 1908, when Bedrich Konarik - Becvan began publishing about the alcohol addiction, he pointe dout the necessity of creating the new facilities focused on the treatment of this addictive substance. The thesis analyzes the current status of the castle Lobkovice in tourism. The theoretical part contains the introduction to the tourism and cultural tourism. Subsequently, the work focuses on tourist area Mělnicko and castle Lobkovice. It provides a detailed analysis of the castle, including its development, current status and the offer. Thesis seeks an objective assessment of the situation of the castle, its pros and cons. The work also includes a SWOT analysis. The fundamental part is devoted to the possibility of using its own proposals castle and its development in the use of theoretical knowledge about the cultural tourism and event tourism and practical knowledge about the castle in the sphere of cultural educational and commercial. Suggestions of use are complemented by recommendations in the near future.

The first part of the thesis describes the individual components to be used for the device design and also deals with the design of matching circuits and the antenna for the NFC. The following part of the thesis describes the design of the hardware, particularly the design of the printed circuit board. The third part describes the firmware and the final part of the thesis is dedicated to the security analysis.

When conducting the architectural study, it was necessary to analyze and take into account the cultural and historical values of the chateau and its immediate surroundings, constructional and technical condition, public services in the area, and the requirements of the owner of the building and lands. The proposed concept comprehensively integrates the needs and specifications of the pharmaceutical company Bioveta with high-quality public spaces as well as relaxation areas for residents.

Goal of this final thesis was reconstruction of the Chateau in Ivanovice na Hane and repurposing of it's spaces. The thesis is made on a level of architectual study. Studied area is located near the center of the Ivanovice, the object is part of the premises of the Bioveta a.s. corporation. The thesis deals with gentle repurposing of the object's spaces and the Chateau's garden. The intention of the investor was to have offices, small brewery, small accommodation and a café. The design is opening the object and the near garden for the public, there are newly created space for museum in the Chateau. The structure of the chateau was supplemented by glass lift in the yard. The utility room is located in the basement. The brawery, beer tasting, café and reception is on the first floor. Museum is located in the second floor complemented by seasonal exposure and accomodations. Museum is focused around Thirty Years’ War and the history of the chateau and Ivanovice. The offices are on the third floor, and they are made for interacting with the public. Connection of the chateau and the garden is an important part of the design, and its done formally and informally using also the linear objects. The garden was divided into three units on the southern side: The symetrical garden, space for holding an accompanying events and park. The space on the northern side was divided for parking of the employees of Bioveta and parking for visiters of the Chateau. The garden is opened for public and new connection between north-west and south entrances was made.

Green room at castle Blatná and resources of its decoration Dissertation "Green room at castle Blatná and resources of its decoration" deals with the decoration of the room in the tower of castle Blatná called by plant decoration covering the walls of the green room. It is striving to find mainly models or inspiration of its painting. After evaluation of the basic literature there is a chapter which introduces castle Blatná as whole. Therefore, it includes the introduction of the history of castle Blatná, its construction development and decoration of the Room of a knight in the Old castle. The next part is already dealing with the green room itself. Gradually, it is searching for connections with graphics, book painting and tapestries. The last chapter contents the stylistic and iconographical-iconological evaluation of the whole decoration. It is striving to identify particular themes of figural paintings and to find a clue to the revealing the background of thought of the whole decoration.

The diploma thesis, which is based on terrain oral-historical research, presents the phenomenon of chateau owners who bought the property from a town government or restituers after 1989 and therefore became the new lords. The issue presented in the title of the thesis is interpreted from eleven stories of selected owners - specifically what motivation the owners had to buy the property, whether it was their dream or a business plan, or whether they wanted to make altruistic deeds. Not only is this study focused on the motivation of the owners to buy a chateau, but the attention is drawn as well to financial issues, state recognizing the property as cultural inheritance, the meaning and future of the castle in the twenty-first century, the matter of the next generations inheriting the property, or pondering about a likely establishment of a new Czech noble class. The result of this work is a complex summary presenting what it takes to own a chateau in the twenty-first century.

Renaissance arcades typology of royal architectural works in Bohemia around 1550 A.D. Kostelec nad Černými Lesy, Poděbrady, Brandýs nad Labem. Chateaux owned by ruler Ferdinand I. and situated outside of Prague served as a hunting residences. The buildings became king's property in the 1540th . Various reasons for rebuilding led to conversion from gothic castles to comfortable renaissance chateaux. Renaissance appearance of chateaux with an emphasis on the form of courtyards and arcade's corridors are the main topic of this thesis. Types of arcades are examined on three selected buildings, chateaux in Brandýs nad Labem, Kostelec nad Černými Lesy and Poděbrady. For entire overview of morphology used in renaissance arcades passages it is important to point out noble mansions in whose courts the arcade's corridors were used as well. This thesis specifically attempts to bring the analogy to the selected buildings in the Czech environment and also in foreign countries. The examples in the treatises and the inspiration for certain types of arcades from Antique to the Renaissance period are also reminded.
