Malířská výzdoba zámku Bučovice ve 2. pol. 16. století: recepce benátských vzorů / The unique painting decoration of the Bučovice chateau in the second half of the 16th century: reception of Venetian models

Knedlíková Wanková, Veronika January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with wall paintings of Italian character in Bu ovice Chateau in Moravia, Czech Republic. The unique wall paintings were created on impulse of Moravian aristocrat and owner of the castle - Jan Šembera ernohorský of Boskovice - in the last twenty years of the 16th century. This time represents a golden age of wall painting in the Czech lands; however, it rather reflects Italian Mannerism than the Renaissance. The paintings are situated in five rooms in the ground floor of the castle; they should refer to the level of education, nobility and wealth of the donator, Jan Šembera. Thanks to a connection of paintings, statues and stuccos the decoration of all five rooms created a unique complex. This demonstrates Šembera's ambitions - he wanted to own a richly decorated representative castle. Jacopo Strada, once an imperial Antiquarian, stayed in the Bu ovice Chateau; the stay might have been connected with his mercantile activity. He probably enabled Šembera to achieve that goal - he could have provided the Šembera's artists with Italian models and created the decoration system of five rooms. Strada made a concept of the room decoration performing various epitomes. The concept of Strada reflected the artworks of Venetian painter Paolo Veronese, the artworks of Giulio Romano and his...

Obrazárna zámku v Rychnově nad Kněžnou / The Picture Gallery at the Castle in Rychnov nad Kněžnou

Adamová, Klára January 2015 (has links)
The subject undertaken in my dissertation work is the gallery painting collection from the aristocratic family 'Kolowrat', which is located within the family's palace in Rychnov nad Kněžnou. The Kolowrats established their gallery in the 16th century, the foundation of which was made to contain family member portraits. During this time portrait paintings comprised the main element and went on to create the portrait collection. The collection contains the oldest Bohemian aristocratic portraits from the Renaissance with portraits influenced by artists from the court of Emperor Rudolf II. It includes portraits from important artists as Karel Škréta, David Schultz or Philip Ch. Bentum and more. The portraits of family members document the history of the Kolowrat clan through the ages. At first this dissertation describes the history of the gallery and goes on to present select portraits from the beginning of the gallery until the 18th century. Keywords Aristocracy, the Rychnov nad Kněžnou palace, the Kolowrat family gallery, portrait collection, aristocracy portrait.

ZÁMEK ZDISLAVICE – KONCEPCE OBNOVY KULTURNÍ PAMÁTKY / CASTLE ZDISLAVICE - CONCEPT OF RECOVERY OF CULTURAL MONUMENTS

Valentová, Veronika January 2016 (has links)
The task of this thesis is the concept of restoration of the castle Zdislavice and its new use as a literary hotel, focusing on the personality of a prominent Austrian writer Marie Ebner-Eschenbach, née Dubská. My goal was to find use, which could be revived and could thus be preserved for future generations. Thanks to the personality of the writer, I decided to create site devoted to literature. I designed hotel for literary enthusiasts, linguists, copywriters and professionals. But also for visitors who are interested in the person of Marie Ebner-Eschenbach. There is also a restaurant, a literary cafe with an associated museum of the writer, chapel, banquet halls with potential uses for conference and library (three libraries). Part of the area is used as a park. It is designed as an English park, but part of the area closest to the castle is designed as a French garden. The tomb of Marie Ebner-Eschenbach is near the castle and is accessible via a staircase. Connection between tomb and castle is shown in the situration plan.
