Vliv nutričních opatření na průběh ulcerózní kolitidy / Influence of nutritional measures on ulcerative colitis

Guznar, Jan January 2018 (has links)
Diploma thesis The influence of nutritional measures on the course of ulcerative colitis deals with the influence of dietary habits on the course of ulcerative colitis (especially probiotic foods), namely impact on relapses of the disease. The theoretical part is divided into two parts. The first part describes ulcerative colitis, from definition to treatment. The second part deals with the intestinal microbiome and the factors that affect it, with an emphasis on the influence of food. The semi-structured interview method based on the questionnaire was used to elaborate the practical part. The research group consisted of respondents with ulcerative colitis who were in remission and relapse. A questionnaire was filled with respondents, which consisted of questions about the course of the disease and a frequency questionnaire targeting different groups of foods. The established eating habits were compared to each other among the respondents, given the frequency of relapse of their illnesses. Research has shown that only fermented dairy products are related to relapse rate and retention of remission. For foods that contain fiber that also modulates the intestinal microbe, the relationship between food consumption and relapse has not been proven. Also, the relationship between consumption of fatty...

Dětská obezita a její léčba v lázeňském prostředí / Childhood obesity and treatment of childhood obesity in the spa

Opravilová, Jana January 2017 (has links)
The objective of this study was to find out if patiens with obesity were adequately educated in the area of the food composition since they were staying at Bludov Spa for the therapeutic program. In addition, determine whether family food consumption affects the percentile value of children, and whether frequency of breakfast and snack classification in children with optimal weight and children with overweight or obesity is different. Methodology: The practical part of this work is based on a questionnaires survey. The questionnaires were filled by 210 respondent in total. Pupils from primary school answered 104 questionnaires and patiens from the spa filled 106 questionnaires. Pupils from primary school were aged between 14 - 16 years, thein questionnaires were categorized according to percentile values per group below 90th percentile and above 90th percentile, based on age and calculated BMI. The patiens at the spa were aged between 7 - 18 years and all were in the group over the 97th percentile, but then question naires had to be categorized by age, in the 7 - 14 age group (younger and older schoolage), 15-18 years (adolescence), also a group aged 14 - 16 years was created to compareit with a group from the spa. There sults were plotted and compared to each other. Results: The evaluation of the...

Úloha výživy v léčbě osteoporózy / The role of nutrition in the treatment of osteoporosis

Večeřová, Vendula January 2021 (has links)
Introduction: Osteoporosis is one of the most frequent bone metabolic disease. It is a systemic metabolic skeleton disease, where the architecture of bone tissue is damaged due to the loss of bone mass, and therefore the bone quality is reduced. Thus, it comes to increased bones fragility and reduction in mechanical resistance, which leads to a higher risk of fractures. The principle of pathogenesis is an imbalance between resorption and bone formation. Due to increasing lifetime and lifestyle changes, the prevalence of the disease increases. Aim: The aim of the practical part of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the eating habits of postmenopausal women treated for osteoporosis and to evaluate their nutritional condition in relation to bone mineral density (BMD). Methods: Nutritional habits were obtained and evaluated through a questionnaire survey. Three-day meal records were collected and analysed using the Nutriservis Profesional nutritional software, to determine the energy intake and selected nutrients. Osteodensitometric data were measured using dual emission X-ray absorptiometry (DXA). Results: The analysis of the diet showed that the observed group of women consumes an excessive amount of energy on average, especially in form of fats. Higher intake of protein was also observed....

Bazální metabolismus, výživová intervence a potraviny způsobující nociceptivní bolest u osob s míšní lézí / Basal metabolic rate, dietary intervention and nutrients producing nociceptive pain in individuals with spinal cord injury

Chaloupková, Eva January 2020 (has links)
Title: Basal metabolism and nutritional intervention for people with spinal cord injuries Objectives: The main objective of this work was empirical research of case evaluation studies (n = 3), where we analyzed: the relationship between energy expenditure (basal metabolism) and energy intake for people diagnosed with spinal cord injury (SCI). The secondary objective was to determine whether the changes in macronutrient distribution and daily energy intake would result in a decrease in body weight and body fat for individual probands. The pilot study in our work was focused on the overview of variable basal metabolism (BM) values for people with SCI. Methods: In our work, we used the method of indirect calorimetry to measure BM and together with the value of working metabolism we determined in the nutritional intervention (n. i.) the ideal energy intake for our probands. We observed primarily measurable changes in the amount of fat and muscle tissue. Results: We have found that, in keeping with the prescribed n. i. rules, all probands achieved to reduce their body weight. The average body weight loss for probands was 0.29 ± 0.02 kg per week. BM values in our pilot study were 15 to 61% lower for our probands (n = 15) and did not correlate with the height of SCI. Key words: spinal cord injury (SCI),...

Hodnocení komerčního rizika při exportu do Číny / Evaluation of the Commercial Risk at Exporting to China

Polák, Josef January 2013 (has links)
This PhD thesis focuses on current issues of commercial risk in international trade, particularly on the evaluation of commercial risk when exporting to China. This PhD thesis presents initial theoretical framework for solution of the problem and also presents statistical results of primary research conducted for Czech exporters necessary to meet the objectives of the dissertation. The aim of this PhD thesis is to construct the model for assessment of commercial risks of exporting to China. The constructed model is probabilistic model, while outcoming results of resulting commercial risk rating based on the averaging of the probable costs or losses caused by the effects of commercial risk which may arise in exporting business entity at unsecured contract, and may take considerable values. The constructed model allows both, to calculate with costs in their absolute probable values as well as to calculate with costs in their relative values as percentages of the contract value. The issue of trade with China is broad and encompasses several disciplines. This implies a large potential for further research which aims in particular to the modeling of knowledge, and by extension created the probabilistic model to the knowledge model.
