individualizado apresentam metodologias especificas conforme objetivo de cada artigo. De
modo geral tem como objetivos: avaliar o funcionamento e as (in)adequações do atual sistema
de revisão ética no país concernentes à pesquisa envolvendo seres humanos; Realizar um
levantamento do funcionamento dos comitês de ética em pesquisa vinculados a Universidade
Federal da Bahia; Investigar quais os mecanismos institucionais que estão sendo utilizados
nos CEP da UFBA para controlar as pesquisas com seres humanos; Traçar o perfil acadêmico
dos secretários, presidentes/coordenadores e membros pareceristas dos CEP vinculados a
Universidade Federal da Bahia. Realizou-se inicialmente uma revisão de literatura e
integrativa de artigos publicados sobre o tema, nas bases de dados Scielo, Lilacs, visando
mapear a produção do conhecimento acerca do tema. Após esse procedimento realizou-se
coletas de dados através do Currículo lattes de cada membro e coordenador dos nove comitês
ligados a Universidade Federal da Bahia com objetivo de conhecer o perfil acadêmico. Após
realizou-se um estudo bibliográfico documental sobre o Termo de Consentimento Livre
Esclarecido devido ser um importante mecanismo de controle de pesquisas envolvendo seres
humanos. Constatou-se uma baixa produção acadêmica sobre o tema, bem como necessidade
de reformulação na estrutura no âmbito da formação acadêmica, identificou-se que no âmbito
dos comitês vinculados a Universidade Federal da Bahia em sua maioria possuem uma
formação biomédica, no que diz respeito ao Termo de Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido,
verificou-se que muitos tem se atentado a sua estrutura ao invés de observarem sua função.
Por fim, com o presente trabalho foi possível perceber que o modelo de regulação dos
Comitês de Ética no Brasil tem se preocupado muito na elaboração de normas e resoluções
com fim de desburocratizar as diversas relações do cotidiano dos pesquisadores. No entanto, a
solução não é a criação de novas normas, ou mesmo mudar a forma dos procedimentos
obrigatórios para submissão de projetos. A chave principal de tudo isso está em aprimorar o
sistema que já está implantado há anos, buscando sempre a capacitação dos seus membros e
coordenadores, bem como buscar melhoria no quadro funcional tanto de servidores como
membros com formação multidisciplinar. / This is a qualitative research, composed by a collection of articles that in an individualized
way present specific methodologies according to the purpose of each article. In general, its
objectives are: to evaluate the functioning and (in) adequacy of the current ethical review
system in the country concerning research involving human beings; Conduct a survey of the
functioning of ethics committees in research linked to the Federal University of Bahia; To
investigate the institutional mechanisms that are being used in the CEP of UFBA to control
research with human beings; To draw the academic profile of the secretaries, presidents /
coordinators and review members of CEPs linked to the Federal University of Bahia. A
review of the literature and the integration of published articles on the subject was carried out
initially in the databases Scielo, Lilacs, aiming at mapping the production of knowledge about
the theme. After this procedure data were collected through the Curriculum lattes of each
member and coordinator of the nine committees linked to the Federal University of Bahia in
order to know the academic profile. After a documentary bibliographic study on the Informed
Consent Term was performed, being an important mechanism for the control of research
involving human beings. It was verified a low academic production on the subject, as well as
the need of reformulation in the structure within the scope of the academic formation, it was
identified that in the scope of the committees linked to the Federal University of Bahia in
majority they have a biomedical formation, with respect to the Term of Free and Informed
Consent, it was verified that many have attacked its structure instead of observing its function.
Finally, with the present work it was possible to perceive that the regulation model of the
Ethics Committees in Brazil has been very concerned with the elaboration of norms and
resolutions with the aim of debureaucratizing the different relations of the researchers' daily
routine. However, the solution is not to create new standards, or even change the form of
mandatory procedures for project submission. The main key of all this is to improve the
system that has been in place for years, always seeking the training of its members and
coordinators, as well as seeking improvement in the staff of both servers and members with
multidisciplinary training.
