The thesis discusses new social movements and how they act on the conditions of the late capitalistic society. The purpose is to examine a new social movement trough its own members. What is their view of the movement’s aims and visions? How do they look upon the strategies to achieve these goals? The study is based on eight qualitative interviews with members of Attac Sweden. The results show that the members are highly aware of the movements avowed aims and strategies. Both the aims and the strategies are reasons why the members have chosen to engage in Attac. These are also reasons why the members believe in Attac as an efficient and influential social movement. / Uppsatsen behandlar nya sociala rörelser och hur de agerar på det senkapitalistiska samhällets förutsättningar. Syftet är att undersöka en ny social rörelse utifrån dess egna medlemmar. Hur ser de på rörelsens uttalade mål och visioner? Hur ser de på strategierna för att uppnå dessa mål? Studien bygger på åtta kvalitativa intervjuer med medlemmar av Attac Sverige. Resultatet visar att medlemmarna har en hög medvetenhet om rörelsens uttalade mål, visioner och strategier. Dessa faktorer är viktiga för att de valt att engagera sig just inom Attac, och för att de tror på Attac som en effektiv och inflytelserik social rörelse.
