Previous issue date: 2015 / O mundo moderno caracterizado pela importância da indústria, do intenso uso de recursos não renováveis, do pensamento científico e do mercado moldado pelo capital foi capaz de produzir elevado nível de desenvolvimento tecnológico. Por outro lado, os impactos ambientais, sociais e econômicos dos diferentes processos produtivos revelaram a necessidade de novas estratégias de produção. No espaço agrário, destacamos a importância da agroecologia e da produção orgânica como alternativas para fazer frente aos problemas emergentes. Elas, entretanto, possuem diferentes características e se impulsionam amparadas em um grupo de atores particulares. Nesse sentido, não são estratégias isoladas, mas construídas por intencionalidades, atores e instituições que ao exercerem sua capacidade de agência na constituição de um determinado projeto dão forma àquilo que identificamos e definimos como Redes de Agroecologia e Redes de Produção Orgânica. Diante disso, este trabalho analisa como se manifestam as intencionalidades nas redes criadas pelas organizações que desenvolvem a agroecologia e a produção orgânica na região Sul do Brasil. Evidenciamos que mais importante do que a figura jurídica utilizada pelas diferentes organizações ? cooperativas, associações e empresas ? são suas intencionalidades e as estratégias adotadas para desenvolver seus respectivos projetos. As Redes de Agroecologia possuem em comum o fato de terem surgido a partir de três principais elementos: o movimento de contestação ao modelo de produção convencional; a necessidade de criar alternativas adequadas às características dos agricultores familiares camponeses e à capacidade de agência de diferentes atores que conseguiram apresentar e garantir que suas demandas fossem atendidas na esfera política e em projetos de governos. Nestes casos, os agricultores ocupam diferentes funções na rede. As Redes de Produção Orgânica têm como característica básica a verticalidade das relações e o mercado como elemento determinante na sua configuração. Nessas redes, os agricultores são atores fundamentais, já que produzem a matéria-prima, mas têm sua atuação limitada à esfera da produção. Finalmente, as redes híbridas, também identificadas na pesquisa, revelam a complexidade dos processos envolvidos na produção do espaço agrário contemporâneo. Elas apresentam, em um mesmo conjunto de relações, princípios da produção agroecológica, orgânica e convencional. Com base no exposto, tratamos a agroecologia e a produção orgânica a partir de uma perspectiva socioespacial, inserindo as relações simétricas ou assimétricas estabelecidas entre as mesmas no escopo de análise das redes geográficas.<br> / Abstract : The modern world characterized by the importance given to industry, to the extensive use of non-renewable resources, to the scientific thought and to the market shaped by the capital was, on the one hand, able to produce a high level of technological development. On the other hand, the environmental, social and economic impacts of different production processes revealed the need for new production strategies. In the agrarian space, we highlight the importance of agroecology as well as the organic production as alternatives to face the emerging problems. However, these alternatives have different characteristics and their promotion is supported by a group of particular actors. In this sense, they are not isolated strategies, but strategies built by intentions, actors and institutions, that when exert their agency ability in setting up a project, give form to what we identify and define as Agroecology Networks and Organic Production Networks. In view of this, this paper analyzes how the intentions are manifested within the networks created by the organizations that develop agroecology and organic farming in southern Brazil. We emphasize that more important than the juridical figure used by different organizations - cooperatives, associations and businesses - are the intentions they have, and strategies they use to develop their projects. The Agroecology Networks have in common the fact that they emerged from three main elements: the protest movement to the conventional production model; the need to create appropriate alternatives to the characteristics of family farmers, and to the agency capacity of different actors who have managed to present and ensure that their demands were met in the political sphere and in projects of governments. In such cases, farmers play different functions in the network. The Organic Production networks have the verticality in terms of relations as a basic feature, and the market as a determining element in its configuration. In these networks, farmers are key actors, since they produce the raw material, but at the same time, they have a limited space to act in the sphere production. Finally, hybrid networks, also identified in the research, reveal the complexity of the processes involved in the production of the contemporary agrarian space. They present, on the same set of relationships, principles of agroecological, organic and conventional production. Based on the above, we treat the agroecology and the organic production from a socio-spatial perspective, inserting the symmetrical or asymmetrical relations established between them in the scope of geographical networks analysis.
