Dažnai specialiųjų poreikių vaikų tėvai gauna piniginę paramą bei valstybės institucijų išmokas. Tačiau įsigilinus į vaikų poreikius, vertybines orientacijas yra labai svarbu, kad vaiko negalios laipsnis neapribotų jo galimybių sėkmingai socializuotis visuomenėje, ugdymo įstaigų bendruomenėse ir kt. Svarbu atrasti, individualizuoti ir vystyti naujus darbo metodus tenkinant neįgalių vaikų specialiuosius poreikius, atsižvelgiant į jų neįgalumo laipsnį, įtraukiant į šį procesą šeimą bei institucijas, teikiančias paslaugas neįgaliesiems bei specialiųjų poreikių turintiems vaikams.
Tyrimo tikslas. Išanalizuoti vaikų, turinčių neįgalumą, specialiųjų poreikių tenkinimą.
Tyrimo uždaviniai:
1. Apibūdinti neįgalum�� kaip socialinį reiškinį.
2. Išnagrinėti vaikų neįgalumo laipsnių atitiktį tenkinant jų specialiuosius poreikius.
3. Išanalizuoti darbo su neįgaliais vaikais specifiką.
4. Ištirti darbo su specialiųjų poreikių vaikais ir jų šeimomis situaciją Utenos rajone.
Tyrimo objektas. Vaikų specialiųjų poreikių tenkinimas.
Teorinėje darbo dalyje buvo atskleista: specialiųjų poreikių vaikų situacija, poreikių tenkinimo aspektai, specialistų darbo metodai ir formos dirbant su specialiųjų poreikių vaikais.
Praktinėje darbo dalyje buvo atskleista Utenos rajono socialinių darbuotojų, socialinių pedagogų ir specialiųjų poreikių vaikų tėvų požiūriai į neįgalių vaikų specialiųjų poreikių tenkinimą, atskleistos poreikių tenkinimo problemos ir metodai.

Though going deeper into the requirements of children and value orientations is very important that the degree of disability will not limit the possibilities of child to socialize successfully in the society, the communities of educational institutions and so on. It is important to find out, to individualize and develop the new methods of work meeting the requirements of children with special needs taking into account the degree of disability involving the family and institutions giving the services for disabled children and those with special needs.
Purpose of survey. To analyze the meeting of requirements the children with special needs.
The goals of survey:
To characterize the disability as a social phenomenon.
To analyze the adequacy of degrees of children’ disability meeting their special needs.
To analyze the particularity of work with disabled children.
To investigate the situation of work with children of special needs and their families in Utena region.
