No. of bitstreams: 0 / Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo principal identificar se a percepção que as crianças têm em relação ao comportamento paterno de cuidado difere da percepção delas em relação ao materno. Participaram do estudo 216 crianças, matriculadas regularmente em duas escolas da rede municipal de ensino, com faixa etária compreendida entre 10 e 11 anos. A coleta de dados foi realizada por meio da aplicação de dois questionários, contendo perguntas fechadas, tipo escala, e perguntas abertas complementares, nos quais foram verificadas as percepções das crianças sobre cuidados parentais reais e ideais. Para analisar as questões fechadas utilizou-se a prova T das categorias com sinal de Wilcoxon para cada par de respostas. Os resultados da escala de paternidade indicam que há diferença significativa entre as percepções que as crianças têm do pai em seis dos sete pares de questões (real e ideal). Quanto à escala de maternidade, somente houve diferença significativa em três dos pares de questões (real e ideal). Quando se comparam as percepções dos filhos sobre pais casados, o pai real se difere do ideal em três dos sete pares de questões, e a mãe real da ideal em apenas dois dos pares. Na comparação da percepção dos filhos sobre pais separados, o pai real se difere do ideal em seis dos sete pares e a mãe em apenas dois destes pares. Essas crianças percebem o pai real diferente do ideal, elas esperam mais cuidados, atenção, diversão, orientação, brincadeira e carinho dele. A mãe real está mais próxima da ideal. Entretanto, para essas crianças, no que diz respeito à diversão, à brincadeira e ao carinho, elas esperam mais. Em termos reais e ideais, mães e pais casados não são muito diferentes na percepção das crianças. Contudo, quando os pais são separados, o pai ideal se afasta bastante do real na percepção delas. Para o tratamento das questões abertas foi realizada uma Análise Temática de Conteúdo. Os resultados são semelhantes aos dos atribuídos às questões fechadas: Para que o pai real se aproxime do ideal, as crianças sugerem mais diversão, orientação, repreensão amigável e brincadeiras da parte dele. Quanto à mãe ideal, as principais diferenças em relação à real, são referentes à diversão e à brincadeira. Como conclusão geral, pode-se afirmar que as crianças percebem pai real bastante afastado do ideal em aspectos referentes ao cuidado e à interação. Quanto à mãe real, ela está predominantemente mais aproximada do modelo ideal percebido nesses mesmos aspectos. As diferenças nas percepções das crianças são mais acentuadas quando os pais são separados do que quando eles são casados.
The main objective of the present study is to identify if the perception that children have of paternal behavior differs from their perception of maternal behavior. 216 children, regularly enrolled at municipal schools, aged 10-11 years old, participated in the study. The collection of data was carried out through the application of two questionnaires, which contained closed questions, scale-type, and complementary open questions. Through the application of these questionnaires the perception of children about real and ideal parental care was identified. To analyze the closed questions, the T test of the categories with Wilcoxon sign was used for each pair of answers. The results of the scale of paternity signal that there is significant difference between the perceptions that children have of their father in six out of the seven pairs of questions (real and ideal). With regard to the scale of maternity, there was significant difference in only three of the pairs of questions (real and ideal). When the perceptions of children about married parents are compared, real father differs from ideal father in three out of the seven pairs of questions, and real differs from ideal mother in only two of the pairs. In the comparison of the perception of children about separated parents, real differs from ideal father in six out of the seven pairs, while real differs from ideal mother in only two of these pairs. These children perceive real differently from ideal father. They expect more care, attention, entertainment, orientation, play, and affection from him. Real mother is closer to ideal mother. However, children expect more from them, regarding entertainment, play, and affection. Really as well as ideally, married mothers and fathers are not much different according to the perception of children. Nevertheless, when parents are separated, real father distances himself from ideal one in the perception of children. A Thematic Analysis of Content was carried out in order to approach the open questions, and the results are similar to the ones from the closed questions. For real father to get closer to the ideal one, children suggest more entertainment, orientation, friendly reprimand, and play. With reference to the ideal mother, the main differences compared to the real one refer to entertainment and play. As a general conclusion, it can be said that children perceive real father quite distant from the ideal one in aspects regarding care and interaction. As to real mother, she is predominantly closer to the ideal model in these same aspects. The differences in the perception of children are more emphasized when parents are separated than when they are married.
