Previous issue date: 2015-04-10 / This study aims to understand how the educational dimension is captured and
held by social workers in their work process in the Single Social Assistance
System in the city of Santos, Brazil.
Therefore, it is considered that social work is constituted as a registered
profession in the social and technical division of collective work, and has the
social question the basic foundation of their actions.
Also, that every action is education, because education is not present only in
the proper space, but is inherent in all social relations. So there is the work of
the social worker, the educational dimension as something intrinsic to make
professional and that permeates any action or instrumental in the work
everyday and this happens in different ways.
It is a qualitative research with analysis of interviews of nine social workers in
the city of Santos, SP that based on several considerations for the proposed
theme / Este estudo tem como objetivo compreender como a dimensão educativa é
apreendida e realizada pelos assistentes sociais no seu processo de trabalho
no Sistema Único de Assistência Social no município de Santos, SP.
Para tanto, considera-se que o Serviço Social se constitui como uma profissão
inscrita na divisão social e técnica do trabalho coletivo, e que tem na questão
social a base de fundação de suas ações.
Também, que toda ação é educativa, pois a educação não se faz presente
apenas no espaço formal, mas é inerente a todas as relações sociais. Portanto,
há, no trabalho do assistente social, a dimensão educativa como algo
intrínseco ao fazer profissional e que esta perpassa toda e qualquer ação ou
instrumental no quotidiano de trabalho e isso se dá de formas diferenciadas.
Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa com análise de entrevistas de nove assistentes
sociais do município de Santos, SP que deram base para várias considerações
sobre a temática proposta
