Previous issue date: 2003 / Resumo: A tese pretende identificar a relevância do tema: educação e razão dialética, na seguinte obra de Jean-Paul Sartre: Crítica da Razão Dialética. Essa abordagem será permeada pela problematização das noções de razão dialética, práxis e antropologia, como as entendem Sartre. Nossa intenção é mostrar a relação entre razão dialética e dialética da práxis e o contributo dessa relação para a pratica educativa, a partir da concepção sartriana de antropologia.Toda nossa pesquisa teve como intuito mostrar que as investigações de Sartre, na Crítica da Razão Dialética, contribuem para pensar a educação como interpretação da práxis e que um dos desafios que se coloca à educação contemporânea é preencher os vazios antropológicos deixados pela ortodoxia epistemológica que tende a constituir um saber fechado: "ciência da educação" (pedagogia), prendendo esta numa rede de fundamentos de cunho metafísicos, entendendo metafisica, aqui, como uma atitude que concebe a realidade como oriunda de um único princípio. Partindo do aporte sartriano, compreendemos a educação como totalização que se traduz em projeto pedagógico que visa educar para a liberdade pela liberdade, desde que esta seja uma finalidade que se realize nas condições sócio-históricas e existenciais da práxis individual e coletiva. Assim sendo, a educação contém, como tessitura, a revolta, isto é, o poder (através do educador, do educando e das instituições) de protagonizar, sem quaisquer tipos de retraimentos e coerções, valores dos projetos pedagógicos e, entre estes, a efetivação da liberdade / Abstract: The thesis intends to identify the relevance of the subject: education and dialectical reason, in the following Jean-Paul Sartre's work: Critique of Dialectical Reason. This approach will be permeated by the problem posing of the notions of the dialectical reason, praxis and anthropology, according to Sartre. l1's our intention to show the relation between dialectical reason and dialectic of praxis and the contribution of this relation to the educational praxis, from the Sartrean conception of anthropology. The main purpose of this research is to show that Sartre's investigations, in Critique of Dialectical Reason, contributes to make us think of education as the interpretation of the praxis and that one of the challenges that the. contemporaneous education has to face is to fill in the anthropological blanks left by the epistemological orthodoxy, that tends to constitute itself as a closed knowledge: "science of education" (pedagogy), so that education falls into the trap of fundamentals that bear a metaphysical stamp, herein, as an attitude that conceives the reality as if it carne from a sole principle. From the Sartrean grant, we understand education as the totality that manifests itself in pedagogic projects that aim at educating for freedom, through freedom, since freedom is the aim to be attained in the socio-historical and existential conditions of the individual and collective praxis. In such a way, education is woven with the threads of rebellion, that is, the power (through the educator, students and institutions) of upholding, without any kinds of restraints or coercion, values of pedagogic projects and, among them, the achievement of freedom / Doutorado / Doutor em Educação
