Defesa: Curitiba, 29/01/2010 / Bibliografia: 134-139 / Área de concentraçao: Exercício e esporte / Resumo: O esporte segundo Pierre Bourdieu é um fenômeno marcante e exerce influência direta na sociedade, sendo possível observarmos sua inserção e manifestações em diversos momentos, entre estes sua utilização nas políticas públicas. Este trabalho tem como objetivo diagnosticar a estrutura e o funcionamento dos projetos esportivos da Secretaria Municipal de Educação (SME) da cidade de Curitiba-PR, como também visualizar os objetivos e funções para esta secretaria, estabelecendo relações com os objetivos e funções na concepção dos professores e coordenadores, que são os agentes responsáveis pela xecução das ações. Para tanto, realizamos uma pesquisa de cunho qualitativo, utilizando como estratégias metodológicas a entrevista semi-estruturada com os agentes envolvidos na operacionalização das ações: um gestor da SME, três coordenadores e três professores. Além das entrevistas também fizemos a análise de documentos que direcionam as ações dos projetos, e dos documentos que orienta a gestão da SME. A análise dos dados foi feita triangulando as três fontes utilizadas: as entrevistas com os agentes, os documentos norteadores, e os dados obtidos com o desenvolvimento do referencial teórico que englobou a análise do esporte com um olhar sociológico, a teoria reflexiva de Pierre Bourdieu, diferentes possibilidades de manifestação do esporte e sua utilização pelo poder público. Assim visualizamos que os projetos esportivos podem ter diferentes objetivos diferenciados nas modalidades em que são ofertadas. Como considerações finais podemos afirmar que os objetivos e funções da SME estão em consonância com os objetivos e funções dos coordenadores e professores. Entre estes objetivos podemos destacar a democratização esportiva, a transmissão de valores morais e educacionais através do esporte, promover o resgate social dos alunos com o aumento do seu tempo de permanência na escola, formar atletas e detectar talentos. Através do diagnóstico da estrutura e do funcionamento dos projetos julgamos que alguns desses bjetivos não são possíveis de serem realizados, pois não proporcionam as condições estruturais para tal, pois pensar a formação de atletas a partir da adaptação dos espaços físicos é um conceito equivocado; e ainda julgamos errônea a idéia de visualizar a oferta esportiva como um meio auxiliar para obtenção de outros direitos sociais, e não o desenvolvimento esportivo em si. Desta forma a partir deste estudo consideramos que a SME deve focar o trabalho com os projetos esportivos visando à demo ratização da prática esportiva, com um caráter educacional, considerando as demandas propostas pelos agentes, e criando mecanismos de participação e avaliação dos envolvidos, para que todos que tenham interesse na prática tenham possibilidades de acesso. / Abstract: The sport according to Pierre Bourdieu is a remarkable phenomenon and has a direct influence on society, it is possible to observe its insertion and demonstrations on various occasions, among them their use in public policy. This study aims to diagnose the structure and operation of sports projects of the Department of Education (SME) in Curitiba-PR, as well as view the objectives and functions for this office, establishing relations with the objectives and functions of teachers in designing and coordinators, who are the agents responsible for implementing actions. We made a qualitative research, using as methodological strategies to semistructured interviews with those involved in the operationalization of shares: an EMS manager, three engineers and three teachers. Besides the interviews we also did the analysis of documents that guide the actions of the projects, and documents guiding the management of the EMS. Data analysis was done by triangulating the three sources used: interviews with actors, guiding documents, and data obtained from the development of the theoretical framework that encompassed the analysis of the sport with a sociological perspective, the reflexive theory of Pierre Bourdieu, different possibilities of manifestation of the sport and its use by the public. Just visualize that sports projects can have different goals in different ways in which they are offered. As conclusion we can state that the objectives and functions of the EMS are in line with the objectives and functions of coordinators and teachers. Among these objectives, we can highlight the democratization of sports, the transmission of moral values and education through sport, to promote students' social recovery with increasing time spent in school, training athletes and spotting talent. Through the diagnosis of the structure and operation of projects we believe that some of these goals are not possible to be realized, because they do not provide the structural conditions for this, because think the training of athletes from the adaptation of the physical spaces is a misconception, and still believe the erroneous idea of viewing the choice of sports as an aid to achieving other social, sports and not the development itself. Thus from this study believe that the SME should focus on working with sports projects aimed at the democratization of sports, with an educational character, considering the demands proposed by staff, and creating mechanisms for stakeholder participation and evaluation, so that all who are nterested in practice have access.
