Previous issue date: 2017-06-27 / Sem bolsa / A presente dissertação visa compreender como as mulheres passaram a fazer parte dos fluxos internos do Café Aquários situado no centro da Cidade de Pelotas e suas percepções acerca dessa inserção. O referido questionamento se justifica pela característica de masculinidade inerente ao espaço durante muitos anos, sendo por isso denominado neste trabalho como um espaço de homossociabilidade masculina. Os objetivos específicos que nortearam o trabalho foram: identificar como se deu a inserção das mulheres como participantes dos fluxos internos da Cafeteria; compreender se a inserção feminina originou uma reconfiguração das relações hierárquicas de gênero e se foram criadas tensões a partir disso; analisar como essas relações hierárquicas de gênero variam nas lógicas relacionais dentro do espaço social do Café Aquários considerando as interseccionalidades de: classe social, raça e geração; inferir as ambiguidades, contradições e paradoxos presentes no espaço social em decorrência das mudanças do público frequentador ao longo dos anos, ou seja, a partir da inserção de mulheres, negros, jovens entre outros frequentadores; avaliar se diante do fato de frequentarem um ambiente de caráter histórico masculino, as mulheres se sentem numa situação de dominação pelo gênero masculino, ou seja, se percebem assimetrias de gênero no ambiente. A pesquisa foi viabilizada através da combinação de diversas técnicas metodológicas, quais sejam: análise documental de fotografias, reportagens e um documentário acerca do Café; observação não participante para uma maior aproximação com a dinâmica da Cafeteria bem como a realização de entrevistas semi estruturadas com oito mulheres, divididas em categorias ao serem analisadas que foram consideradas a partir da posição que cada uma delas se situava em relação aos fluxos internos do Aquários. A análise dos dados empíricos apontaram as lógicas familiares como um dos fatores preponderantes como porta de entrada das mulheres no Café, bem como a relativização da homossociabilidade masculina pois de certa forma as mulheres estiveram presentes desde muitos anos nas dinâmicas sociais do espaço. / The purpose of this dissertation is to understand how women have become part of the internal flows of Café Aquários located in the center of the City of Pelotas and their perceptions about this insertion. This questioning is justified by the inherent masculinity characteristic of space for many years, and is therefore called in this work as a space of masculine homossociability. The specific objectives that guided the work were: to identify how the insertion of women as participants in the internal flows of the Cafeteria took place, to understand if female insertion led to a reconfiguration of hierarchical gender relations and if tensions were created from that, Hierarchical relations of gender vary in the relational logics within the social space of Café Aquários considering the intersectionalities of: social class, race and generation, to infer the ambiguities, contradictions and paradoxes present in the social space due to the changes of the public attending over the years, That is, from the insertion of women, blacks, young people among other regulars, to evaluate whether, in view of the fact that they attend a masculine historical environment, women feel in a situation of domination by the masculine gender, that is, if they still perceive asymmetries Of gender in the environment. The research was made possible through the combination of several methodological techniques, namely: documentary analysis of photographs, reports and a documentary about Coffee; Non-participant observation for a closer approximation to the Cafeteria dynamics as well as the semi structured interviews with eight women, divided into categories when analyzed that were considered from the position that each of them was in relation to the internal flows of the Aquariums . The analysis of the empirical data pointed the family logics as one of the preponderant factors as the entry point of the women in the Café, as well as the relativization of the masculine homossociability since somehow the women have been present for many years in the social dynamics of the space.
