Essa formação tem se apresentado como uma estratégia frente ao agronegócio, expressão do capitalismo no campo na atualidade. Três questões nortearam nossa pesquisa: "Como os alunos produzem suas vidas?" "O que é preciso aprender para se viver hoje?" "O que é preciso aprender para transformar essa realidade?" Tais questões partiram dos seguintes aspectos: o debate sobre a educação técnico-profissional no MST intensifica-se nos anos 2000; esse Movimento Social tem organizado trabalhadores também nas periferias das cidades e constituído assentamentos em regiões situadas nos limites urbanos; as fronteiras entre campo e cidade são cada vez menores; o trabalho coletivo é expressão ou síntese do trabalho na atualidade; a agroecologia tem sido colocada em oposição e como alternativa ao agronegócio. Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo analisar a relação entre a proposta do MST de formação técnico-profissional em agroecologia para jovens assentados do estado de São Paulo e o contexto dos assentamentos desses jovens, ampliando para a totalidade do campo brasileiro. Nosso objeto de pesquisa foi o Curso Integrado Médio Técnico de Agroecologia, realizado no período de 2008 a 2010, e especificamente a turma de Ribeirão Preto, local em que se situam os dois primeiros assentamentos agroecológicos do estado de São Paulo. Desenvolvendo nossa pesquisa a partir do materialismo histórico dialético, as categorias trabalho e espaço emergiram apontando para a contradição capital e trabalho e reduzindo as oposições campesinato e agricultura familiar, campo e cidade, agroecologia e agronegócio, às especificidades a que correspondem. Em termos metodológicos, realizamos entrevistas com alunos, educadores, lideranças do MST dos Setores de Formação, Educação e Produção e componentes da Coordenação Político-Pedagógica do curso; aplicamos questionários aos alunos; fizemos observações de campo; analisamos documentos do MST; e realizamos pesquisa bibliográfica de teses relacionadas ao tema de nossa pesquisa. Concluímos que a agroecologia é possível para a produção nos assentamentos e objeto de processos educativos, desde que esteja inserida numa proposta formativa que avance para a relação entre trabalho e educação, o que pressupõe condições materiais concretas nos assentamentos e que, enquanto especificidade, esteja inserida numa estratégia maior, correspondendo também a um ensaio para o novo, na perspectiva de contribuir para a transformação da realidade. / The professional technical courses in agroecology proposed by the MST aim provide the professional education that meets the needs of settlements in relation to production and at the same time, the high school education. This education has emerged as a strategy against the agribusiness, expression of capitalism in the field today. Three questions guided our research: "As students produce their lives?" "What they have to learn to live today?" "What they have to learn to transform this reality?" Such questions result from the following aspects: the debate on technical education in the MST is intensified in the 2000s; the Social Movement has organized workers on the outskirts of cities and established settlements in regions located in the city limits; the boundaries between country and city are more and more smaller; the collective work is the expression or synthesis of work today; agroecology has been placed in opposition and as an alternative to agribusiness. This research aims to examine the relationship between what MST propose about professional education in agroecology for young settlers from the state of Sao Paulo and the context of settlements of these young people, expanding to the whole of the Brazilian countryside. Our research was about the professional high school education in agroecology, conducted from 2008 to 2010, and specifically the class of Ribeirão Preto, where two settlements agroecological in the state of Sao Paulo are located. Developing our research consider the dialectical historical materialism, the categories work and space have emerged pointing to the contradiction between capital and working and reducing the oppositions peasantry and family farming, rural and urban, agribusiness and agroecology, that were only specificities. In methodological terms, we conducted interviews with students, educators, leaders of the Formation, Education and Production Sectors of the MST and components of the Political-Pedagogical Coordination; apply questionnaires to students, made field observations, analyze documents of the MST, and conduct research bibliography of theses on the theme of our research. We concluded that agroecology can be a possibility for the production in the settlements and the object of the educational process, since it is inserted into a educational proposal that consider the relationship between work and education, which requires concrete material conditions in the settlements, and that, while specificity, is inserted into a larger strategy, also corresponding to a test for the new, as a contribution to the transformation of reality.
