The purpose of this study is to examine how preschool teachers experience their work with preschool children's physical, mental and social health. The study also highlights what conditions the preschool teachers experience they need for this kind of work to be possible. Many children spend a lot of their awake time in different preschools and that makes the preschools an important place for the children´s health. The preschools are also a place where the children can learn about their own, and others health. Eight preschool teachers have been interviewed in this study to reach the results that will be presented. The results have been analyzed from a sociocultural perspective. The questions that were examined in this study are: How do preschool teachers describe that they work with and teach about children's physical, mental and social health in preschool? What conditions do the preschool teachers think need to exist in the preschool in order for work with children's physical, mental and social health to be possible? The results indicate that the preschool teachers have knowledge about the three aspects physical, mental and social health but not necessarily knowledge on how to work with it in preschool. The results also show that most of the participants could describe their work with children's health but did not plan for activities with health in focus.
