Previous issue date: 2002-03-25 / The purpose of this research is to present the images of David in biblical
historiography to lift David s profile revealed by the historical works of Deuteronomy
and of Chronichs, as well as to know what is unique in each one of them, and the
models that historical account develops around his character and what effect David
had on the history of Israel. The history of this character is well debated by
theologians and its image is analysed and interpreted under various perspectives. In
a research the results vary according to the invesgative method, as well as the
hermeneutic starting point of each researcher. It was through distinct methological
approaches that each historical account searched to arrive at the knowledge and the
explanation to some aspects of the behavior and the image of David. In analyzing the
comparison of the image of David on the historical accounts of both Deuteronomy
and the Chronicles it was observed that exists different forms of representation and
perfomance of this character. It was also searched for comparison the biblical texts in
2 Sm 6, 1-11 e 1 Cr 13, 1-14 focalizing the relation and the meaning of David on the
movement of the ark in these two texts. / O objeto da presente pesquisa é apresentar as imagens de Davi nas
historiografias bíblicas, buscando-se levantar o perfil de Davi revelado pela Obra
Historiográfica Deuteronomista e pela Obra Historiográfica Cronista, bem como
conhecer o que é peculiar a cada uma delas, os paradigmas que cada historiografia
construiu em torno de sua pessoa e sua repercussão na história de Israel. A história
desse personagem é muito discutida pelos estudiosos da Bíblia e a sua imagem é
analisada e interpretada sob várias perspectivas. Na pesquisa, os resultados variam
conforme o método de investigação, bem como o ponto de partida hermenêutico de
cada pesquisadora e pesquisador. Foi através de acessos metodológicos distintos
que cada um procurou chegar ao conhecimento e à explicação de determinados
aspectos do comportamento e da imagem de Davi. A partir da comparação da
imagem de Davi na Obra Historiográfica Deuteronomista e na Obra Historiográfica
Cronista observa-se que existem formas diferentes de representação e atuação
desse personagem. Procura-se também comparar os textos em 2Sm 6, 1-11 e 1Cr
13, 1-14, focalizando a relação e o significado de Davi e do translado da arca nesses
dois textos.
