Tomada como noção a priori nos trabalhos acerca do tema, acaba por estabelecer uma abordagem histórica que confirma incessantemente a identidade teuto-brasileira como exemplo positivo de contribuição para o país, em contraponto à herança lusa da cultura nacional. Tem sido defendido, até então, um modelo essencializado de identidade teuto-brasileira, o qual seria fundamentado em um conjunto de traços característicos: a ética do trabalho, a religiosidade, a obediência às leis e à ordem, o desenvolvimento, etc. Por isso, não se trata, neste trabalho, de traçar uma linha histórica que levaria à origem do conceito de teuto-brasileiro, afirmando, assim, sua positividade científica e sua validade de aplicação em todos os setores do conhecimento e da vida social. De outro modo, pretende-se investigar, nos próprios discursos, quais foram as decisões tomadas, os caminhos trilhados, as incoerências, as aproximações e distinções realizadas, as quais institucionalizaram um saber em torno do conceito de teuto-brasileiro, introduzindo-o em diversas práticas discursivas e não-discursivas. Portanto, não se trata de reforçar sua objetividade e imparcialidade como conceito, mas sim, de colocá-lo em questão. Esta pesquisa abrange o período compreendido entre 1940 e 2005, sem a intenção de realizar um levantamento bibliográfico exaustivo de todos os trabalhos escritos acerca do tema, tampouco fazer uma revisão bibliográfica do assunto, mas sim, estabelecer um diálogo com a produção intelectual mais marcante acerca do tema.
The present work intends to carry out an historical investigation of the concept of #teutobrasileiro# (German-Brazilian) # analytical category widely employed in the researches as to the populations of German immigrants and descendants established in Brazil. Taken like a beforehand notion in the works about the theme, it establishes a historical approach that confirms incessantly the German-Brazilian identity, like a positive example of contribution for the country, in counterpoint to the Portuguese inheritance of the national culture. An essentialized model of German-Brazilian identity has been defended, up to that time, what would be based on a set of characteristic aspects: the ethics of the work, the religiosity, the obedience to the laws and to the order, the development, etc. Therefore, it does not the question, in this work, of drawing a historical line at would lead to the origin of the concept of German-Brazilian, if what affirmed, so, his scientific positivity and his validity of application in all the sectors of the knowledge and of the social life. Otherwise, it intends to investigate, in the discourses themselves, what were the taken decisions, the well-trodden ways, the inconsistencies, the approximations and fulfilled distinctions, which set up a knowledge around the concept of German-Brazilian, introducing it in several discursive and non-discursive practices. So, it does not the question of reinforcing his objectivity and impartiality like concept, but putting it open to questions. This research includes the period between 1940 and 2005, without the intention of carrying out a bibliographical exhaustive lifting of all the works written about the theme, neither making a bibliographical revision of the subject, but, establish a dialog with the most outstanding intellectual production.
