Previous issue date: 2011-02-28 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This research aims to reflect on the limits and the possibilities of the professional practice of the interdisciplinary team of the Social Assistance Reference Centers - SARC contributes for the aiding of the process of empowerment of the
assisted families in this institution. It is about qualitative research, whose empirical context was the situated SARC in the city of Ponta Grossa, Paraná State. The research was developed through the following methodological procedures:
bibliographical revision, documentary study, comment, half-structuralized interview with professionals of Social Service, Psychology and Pedagogy, and analysis of depositions having as reference the central categories of the research, which are: empowerment, family, social assistance, professional practice and interdisciplinary team. The National Politics of Social Assistance of 2004 emphasizes that the work,
which is carried through with families must have a social vision that not only privileges the situations of social, economic and cultural vulnerabilities that the reality presents to the same ones, but the potentialities must be privileged that these families present regarding to the development of its autonomy. To develop actions that stand out the potentialities is a work that implies in the process of empowerment. In order to accomplish this process, it needs to be considered from the assumptions of the dialogic. According to Paulo Freire the dialogue is basic to exceed the
conception that assumes that the empowerment is limited to the mere mechanical acquisition of knowledge. The research concludes that: there is the necessity of investment in the continued formation of the professionals who act in the SARC with the familiar demands in a interdisciplinary perspective; that the offered conditions of work to the teams of the SARC limit its intervention, because they make it difficult the
establishment of bonds of the team with the families, regarding that the presented circumstances of work, some professionals do not remain in the institution, this
generates a rotation among them, this way, weakening the work with the families. About the possibilities of the empowerment process, we observe that it needs to be
mediated by the dialogical action and social-educative actions and its results, as the dialogical process, as the social-educative actions involve information and participation, elements that have the possibility to facilitate the stimulation of the protagonism of the individual and consequently to favor the empowerment. / Resumo: Esta pesquisa objetiva refletir sobre os limites e as possibilidades da prática profissional da equipe interdisciplinar dos Centros de Referência de Assistência Social – CRAS contribuir para o favorecimento do processo de
empoderamento das famílias atendidas nesta instituição. Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa, cujo contexto empírico foi os CRAS situados no Município de Ponta Grossa-PR. A pesquisa se desenvolveu através dos seguintes procedimentos
metodológicos: revisão bibliográfica, estudo documental, observação, entrevista semi-estruturada com profissionais de Serviço Social, Psicologia e Pedagogia, e análise de depoimentos tendo como referência as categorias centrais da pesquisa, as quais são: empoderamento, família, assistência social, prática profissional e equipe interdisciplinar. A Política Nacional de Assistência Social de 2004 enfatiza que o trabalho realizado com famílias deve partir de uma visão social que privilegie não somente as situações de vulnerabilidades sociais, econômicas e culturais que a realidade apresenta às mesmas, mas devem-se privilegiar as potencialidades que
essas famílias apresentam com vistas ao desenvolvimento de sua autonomia. Desenvolver ações que busquem ressaltar as potencialidades é um trabalho que implica no processo de empoderamento, para que se efetive este processo,
necessário se faz que o mesmo seja considerado a partir dos pressupostos da dialogicidade, pois para Paulo Freire o diálogo é fundamental para ultrapassar a concepção que supõe que o empoderamento limita-se à mera aquisição mecânica
de conhecimento. A pesquisa concluiu que: há necessidade de investimento na formação continuada dos profissionais que atuam nos CRAS junto às demandas familiares em uma perspectiva interdisciplinar; que as condições de trabalho
oferecidas às equipes dos CRAS limitam a sua intervenção, pois dificultam o estabelecimento de vínculos da equipe com as famílias, tendo em vista que dadas as circunstâncias de trabalho, alguns profissionais não permanecem na instituição,
isso gera uma rotatividade entre os mesmos fragilizando desta forma o trabalho junto ás famílias. No que tange às possibilidades do processo de empoderamento, observamos que o mesmo precisa ser mediado pela ação dialógica e ações
sócioeducativas e suas decorrências, tanto o processo dialógico, quanto as ações sócioeducativas envolvem informação e participação elementos que têm a possibilidade de facilitar o estímulo do protagonismo do sujeito e consequentemente favorecer o empoderamento.
