SAMMANFATTNING Bakgrund De flesta barn kommer någon gång under deras uppväxt att komma i kontakt med hälso- och sjukvården. Vid dessa tillfällen har barnet rätt till delaktighet i sin vård och omsorg. Delaktighet är en fundamental förutsättning för både vuxnas och barns hälsa. Ett barns delaktighet behöver inte enbart handla om att bestämma utan det finns andra faktorer som ökar delaktigheten. Patientdelaktighet handlar om ett ömsesidigt partnerskap och en förtroendefull relation mellan patient och hälso- och sjukvårdspersonal. Syfte Att belysa hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalens upplevelser av det somatiskt sjuka barnets delaktighet i sin egen omvårdnad. Metod Denna icke-systematiska litteraturöversikt inkluderar 16 vetenskapliga artiklar där samtliga är av kvalitativ design. De två databaser som användes för att hämta dessa artiklar var PubMed och CINAHL. Kvalitetsgranskningen utfördes i enlighet med Sophiahemmet högskolas bedömningsunderlag. En integrerad analys användes för att sammanställa resultatet och identifiera relevanta kategorier. Resultat I resultatet i denna litteraturöversikt framkom fyra huvudkategorier: betydelsefulla faktorer för barnets delaktighet, föräldrarnas roll för barnets delaktighet, kommunikationens betydelse och barnet som beslutsfattare i sin vård. Det framkom att föräldrarna har en viktig roll i möjliggörandet av barnets delaktighet i sin vård. Barnets kompetens samt hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalens kompetens ansågs ha en betydande roll för hur delaktig barnet kunde vara. Slutsats I denna litteraturöversikt framgår det att det finns förbättringspotential för att optimera barns delaktighet enligt hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalen. Trots barnets begränsade möjligheter till beslutsfattande har det visat sig fördelaktigt för barnets hälsa att vara delaktig. Genom att anpassa språk och information, lyssna och ställa frågor kan hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalen främja barnets delaktighet. On these occasions, the child has the right to participate in his or her care. Participation is a fundamental prerequisite for the health of both adults and children. A child's participation does not have to be about making decisions, other factors increase participation. Patient participation is about a mutual partnership and a trusting relationship between patients and healthcare professionals. Aim The aim was to describe health care professional’s experiences involving children with a somatic disease in their own care. Method This literature review includes 16 scientific articles, all of which are of qualitative design. The two databases used to retrieve these articles were PubMed and CINAHL. The quality review was carried out in accordance with Sophiahemmet University's assessment basis. An integrated analysis was used to compile the results and identify relevant categories. Results The results of this literature review revealed four main categories:important factors for the child's participation, the role of the parents in the child's participation, the importance of communication and the child as a decision-maker in their care.The results showed that adaptions from healthcare professionals, the healthcare environment and organization were essential in promoting the child’s participation. It emerged that the parents play an important role in enabling the child's participation in their care. The competence of the child and the healthcare professionals were considered to have a significant role in the child's level of involvement. Conclusions This literature review shows that there is potential for improvement in optimizing children's participation according to healthcare professionals. Despite the child's limited decision-making opportunities, it has proved beneficial for the child's health to be involved in the process. By adapting language and information, listening, and asking questions, healthcare professionals can promote the child's participation in care.
