Denna uppsats behandlar ämnesområdet kommunal miljökommunikation utifrån ett mottagarperspektiv. Det är uttalanden från invånare i Höganäs kommun angående miljöenhetens miljökommunikation som analyseras i relation till teori i uppsatsen. Uppsatsens syfte är att belysa hur kommuner kan kommunicera miljöinformation gentemot sina invånare för att nå en riktning mot hållbar utveckling. En kvalitativ metod har legat till grund för arbetets genomförande genom användandet av fokusgrupper. För effektiv miljökommunikation måste individens olika egenskaper beaktas. Attitydens olika komponenter inför olika miljövänliga handlingar måste identifieras och tas hänsyn till. Samtidigt måste kommunikationen inge ett förtroende hos mottagaren, för sändaren, budskapet och kanalerna. / This paper studies the field of municipal environmental communication on the basis of a receiver perspective. I have studied statements made by inhabitants in Höganäs municipality concerning the environmental communication made by the municipality. The purpose of this study is to shed a light on how municipalities can communicate environmental information towards its inhabitants to reach a direction towards a sustainable development. A qualitative method, focus groups, has been used to complete this paper. To make the environmental communications effective the individual characteristics that every person posses must be taking into consideration by the municipality. The different components of the concept of attitude towards different environmental friendly activities must be identified and taken under consideration. Simultaneous the transmitter, the message and the used channels in the communication process must infuse a trust within the receiver.
