Previous issue date: 2017-03 / Esta investigação buscou desvelar os sentidos da mulher na vivência do linfedema por câncer de mama. Trata-se de um estudo fenomenológico, fundamentado no referencial teórico/ metodológico de Martin Heidegger. Os cenários de pesquisa foram o Hospital Ascomcer, Juiz de Fora-MG, e a Fundação Cristiano Varella, em Muriaé. Realizou-se a entrevista fenomenológica com treze mulheres que vivenciam o linfedema por câncer de mama. A análise compreensiva, em seu primeiro momento metódico, mostrou que a mulher pensava que poderia fazer de tudo, mas fazendo as coisas da sua rotina senti o braço inchando. Queixa-se de dor ou dormência, o braço inchado e pesado. Fica envergonhada e chateada com o braço sem estética e tenta disfarçar. Sabe que com o esforço, a extravagância, o calor e o peso o braço vai inchar e doer, mas não consegue evitar. Tem que fazer tratamento no braço e, por vezes, usar luva. Percebe-se limitada, não é mais a mesma pessoa, procura se ocupar com outras coisas. Fica entristecida e chateada, é uma provação difícil que precisa conviver. Na hermenêutica, o ser-aí-mulher-que-vivencia-o-linfedema-por-câncer-de-mama mostra-se na impessoalidade, na impropriedade e na inautenticidade, como modos próprios do cotidiano. Diante da facticidade, regida pelo falatório e ambiguidade o ser-mulher revela uma vida com limitações e mostra-se no pavor, horror e terror. Acredita-se que o caminho para uma assistência de qualidade está no empoderamento do ser-aí-mulher e na supressão do caráter ameaçador que fragiliza e imobiliza o ser. A prevenção precisa ser contemplada para reduzir os riscos de desenvolver o linfedema. / This research aimed to reveal the senses of the woman in the experience of lymphedema due to breast cancer. It is a phenomenological study, based on the theoretical / methodological framework of Martin Heidegger. The research scenarios were the Ascomcer Hospital, Juiz de Fora- MG, and the Cristiano Varella Foundation, in Muriaé. The phenomenological interview was conducted with thirteen women who experience lymphedema due to breast cancer. Comprehensive analysis, in its first methodical moment, showed that the woman thought she could do everything, but doing the things of her routine felt her arm swell. Complains of pain or numbness, swollen and heavy arm. She is embarrassed and annoyed with her arm without aesthetics and tries to disguise. He knows that with effort, extravagance, heat and weight the arm will swell and ache, but he can not help it. Have to do arm treatment and sometimes wear gloves. He is limited, he is no longer the same person, he tries to deal with other things. She's saddened and upset, it's a difficult ordeal she needs to live with. In hermeneutics, the being- there-woman-who-experiences-the-lymphedema-for-breast-cancer shows itself in impersonality, in impropriety and inauthenticity, as everyday modes. Faced with facticity, governed by the talk and ambiguity the being-woman reveals a life with limitations and shows itself in dread, horror and terror. It is believed that the path to quality care lies in the empowerment of the being-there-woman and the suppression of the threatening character that weakens and immobilizes the being.
