Malmö universitet: Fakulteten för Hälsa och samhälle, institutionen för vårdvetenskap, 2019.Bakgrund: Den palliativa omvårdnaden är uppbyggd på fyra hörnstenar; symtomlindring, mångprofessionellt samarbete, kommunikation och stöd till närstående. Inom palliativ vård uppkommer frågor som rör vår existens. Varför finns vi här på jorden? Varför måste vi dö? Vad är meningen med livet? Döden angår oss alla och som sjuksköterska är det viktigt att se döden som en naturlig del av vår livsprocess eftersom det är oundvikligt i sjuksköterskans professionella yrke. Varje människa har rätt att få värdig vård vid livets slutskede. På grund av begränsad forskning och därmed även varierande kunskap bland sjuksköterskor, behövs personers upplevelser av existentiella frågor inom palliativ vård belysas. Syfte: Syftet är att beskriva personers upplevelser av existentiella frågor i palliativ vård. Metod: Kvalitativ litteraturstudie som gjordes i databaserna CINAHL, PubMed och Psycinfo. Studierna kvalitetsgranskades enligt SBU:s granskningsmall för kvalitativa studier. De tio utvalda studierna analyserades utifrån Forsberg och Wengströms åtta-stegs modell. Resultat: Analysen genererade fem olika temarubriker; Funderingar kring meningen med livet, tankar om religion och andlighet, det existentiella lidandet, Upplevelser av hopp, frid och acceptans, samt existentiella tankar kring döden. Konklusion: För att kunna utföra en evidensbaserad omvårdnad krävs kunskap om existentiella frågorna och upplevelserna som presenteras i litteraturstudiens resultat. / Jönsson, K & Mattsson, L. In palliative care issues arise that concern our existence. Why are we here on earth? Why do we have to die? What is the meaning of life? Death applies to all of us and as a nurse, it is important to see death as a natural part of our life process because it is an inevitable part of the nursing profession. Thus, every person is entitled to receive a dignified care at the end of life. Every person is entitled to receive valuable care at the end of life. Due to limited research and thus also varying knowledge from nurses, the necessary persons experiences of existential issues in palliative care are highlighted. Purpose: The purpose is to describe people's experiences of existential issues in palliative care. Method: Qualitative literature study with data gathering from the databases CINAHL, PubMed and Psycinfo. The studies were quality-scrutinized according to the SBU's review template for qualitative studies. The selected studies were analyzed on the basis of Forsberg and Wengström's eight-step model. Result: The analyzes generated five different theme headings; what is the meaning of life, thoughts of religion and spirituality, the existential suffering, a sense of hope, peace and acceptance, and + existential thoughts about death. Conclusion: Knowledge of existential issues and experiences presented in the literature study's result is required to be able to carry out an evidence-based nursing.
