Bakgrund: Antalet induktioner i Sverige ökar samtidigt som förlossningsklinikerna är restriktiva med igångsättning utan medicinska indikationer relaterat till ökad risk för komplikationer. Kvinnor som genomgår induktion har ökad risk för negativ förlossningsupplevelse. Delaktighet bidrar till känsla av kontroll och barnmorskan behöver stödja kvinnans unika behov. Syfte: Beskriva kvinnors upplevelse av induktion som grundas på humanitära skäl. Metod: Kvalitativ metod med induktiv ansats tillämpades. Datainsamling utfördes på internet och 11 bloggar inkluderades och analyserades med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultat: Analysen mynnade ut i ett sammanfattande tema: Induktion upplevs som en känslomässig berg- och dalbana från början till slut. Resultatet presenteras i fyra kategorier och tio subkategorier. Konklusion: Kvinnor har ett stort behov av stöd och bekräftelse från barnmorskan som behöver vara lyhörd för de unika behoven. Genomgående beskrivs misstron till kroppen och att hoppet läggs till vårdens interventioner. Förlossningsupplevelsen beskrivs positiv trots induktion om behov av stöd, delaktighet och trygghet har tillgodosetts. / Background: The amount of inductions in Sweden increases as the birth clinics are restrictive with inductions that isn’t related to medical indications in order to decrease risk for complications. Women that undergoes induction has increased risk for a negative birth experience. Participation helps to a feeling of control and the midwife needs to support women’s individual unique needs. Aim: To describe women’s experience of induction which is founded on humanitarian reasons. Method: A qualitative method with inductive approach was applied. Data was gathered on the Internet and 11 blogs was included and analysed with help of qualitative content analysis. Result: The analysis concluded in one theme: Induction feels like an emotional rollercoaster from start to beginning. The result is presented in four categories and ten subcategories. Conclusion: The women had a large need for acknowledgement and support from the midwife who needs to be responsive to the unique needs. A strong misbelief to their own body is described and the hope lays to the care’s interventions. Even though the induction can be long-spun and painful the woman can get a positive birth experience if she experienced support, participation and security.
