The aim of this study is an exploration of cooperation between the law enforcement forces and local authorities responsible for the organisation of the social services, working with young crime victims and their needs of assistance. Interviews with three members of the police department and four member of the social services were conducted. An organization theory perspective and ”The ideal victim” concept are forming the background for a thematic analysis of the gathered data. While divergent attitudes are revealed in the data, the results show an overall positive effect of closer cooperation between the organizations on favorable well-being of the victims. Lack of communication and understanding of the commonality of goals are potentially disruptive sources. However, ”The ideal victim” concept as guideline doesn´t appear to substantially support the empirical results.
