Previous issue date: 2009 / Resumo: O objetivo geral deste trabalho foi investigar as (im) possíveis relações da Educação e a Saúde Mental, tendo como objetivo específico a pretensão de saber da provável relação do método de ensino do professor universitário e o modelo de gestão da instituição em que trabalha. Esta empreitada se deu em função de nossa experiência no ensino da Psicopatologia Geral, uma das disciplinas que compõem o currículo dos cursos de Psicologia, vivência essa que nos fez observar os efeitos do ensino extrapolarem as ambições pedagógicas e tocarem o campo da subjetividade, fato que nos impulsionou à pesquisa de campo para a averiguação da hipótese de que haveria uma relação indissociável entre Educação e Saúde Mental, bem como, o contorno de um estilo de trabalho. Deste modo, entrevistamos professores universitários - responsáveis pela disciplina indicada - em todas as universidades públicas do estado de São Paulo que ofereciam o curso de Psicologia, bem como, um mesmo número de professores num mesmo número de universidades particulares, visando verificar principalmente se os efeitos que identificávamos e para os quais ainda não tínhamos um nome específico também se davam com esses professores e se poderiam ser entendidos como frutos da articulação entre Educação e Saúde Mental. Constatamos, por meio do trabalho de campo, no que diz respeito aos objetivos do ensino, a maciça prevalência de uma educação voltada para o mercado de trabalho, fato que fez clara a interferência do modelo de gestão no que concerne ao método de trabalho do professor. Contudo, o fato do modelo de gestão capitalista influenciar o método de trabalho dos professores escutados, ao contrário do que poderíamos supor, não impossibilitou a articulação da Educação à Saúde Mental, visto os professores terem, apesar disso, conservado um estilo de trabalho cujo foco é o aluno enquanto sujeito que é, denotando resistência em mercantilizar a relação professor-aluno. Deste modo, verificamos ser o professor possível aquele que busca a Educação em direção ao sujeito e faz de seu método o anti-método porque seu trabalho é artesanal, considera cada aluno como sujeito único, cada sala de aula que assume como passível de empreender uma dinâmica particular. Nestes termos, Educação e Saúde Mental caminham de mãos dadas porque não há ensino possível que não considere o sujeito. / Abstract: The general meaning of this work was to investigate the (im) possible relations between Education and the Mental Health, having as specific meaning the pretension to know the probable relation between the method of teaching of the academical teacher's and the model of administration of the institution in that he/she works. This taskwork felt in function of our experience in the teaching of General Psychopatology, one of the disciplines that composes the curriculum of the courses of Psychology, experience this one, that made us to observe the effects of the teaching extrapolates the pedagogic ambitions and touch the field of subjectivity, fact that impelled us to the research's field with the meaning of verify the hypothesis that there would be an indissociable relationship between Education and Mental Health, as well as, the contour of one style of work. This way, we interviewed academical teachers - responsible for the suitable subject - in all the public universities of the state of São Paulo that offers the course of Psychology, as well as, the same number of teachers in the same number of private universities, seeking to verify, mainly, if the effects that we identified and for which we did not still have specific name, if they also felt with these teachers and if they could be understood as fruits of the articulation between Education and Mental Health. We verified, through the field's work, in what concerns to the objectives of the teaching, the solid prevail of an education turned to the market, fact that made clear the interference of the administration model in what it concerns to the method of the teacher's work. However, the fact of the model of capitalist administration to influence the method of the listened teachers' work, unlike what we could suppose, it didn't disable the articulation between Education and Mental Health, sees that the teachers have, in spite of that, conserved a work style whose focus is the student while subject that is, denoting resistance in commercializing the relationship teacher/student. This way, we verified to be the possible teacher that one that looks for the Education in direction to the subject and the one that makes of its own method the anti-method because your work is handmade, it considers each student as only subject, and each classroom that assumes as susceptible to undertake private dynamics.
