TEACCH är en metod som används för individer med autism. Målet är att skapa förståelse och ge hjälpsamma verktyg för individerna med autism, men även anpassa miljön till deras behov. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka och analysera tidigare forskning för TEACCH metodens effekt för barn samt vuxna individer med autism. Resultat analyseras utifrån teoretiska modeller KASAM och Empowerment. Metoden som används i studien är en scoping study. Resultatet påvisar positiva effekter av TEACCH för både barn och vuxna med autism. Områden som påvisar positiva effekter av TEACCH för både barn och vuxna med autism är kommunikation, motorik, problemskapande beteende, engagemang, socialt beteende, självbestämmande. Goda effekter av TEACCH påvisas även hos föräldrar till barnen med autism. / TEACCH is a method that is used for individuals with autism. The objectives are to create an understanding and impart helpful tools for individuals with autism, and to adjust environments to their needs. The aim of this study is to examine and analyse previous research available on the effects of the TEACCH method for children and adults with autism. Results are analysed based on the theoretical models KASAM and Empowerment. The method used in this study is a scoping study. The results demonstrate positive effects of TEACCH for both children and adults with autism. Areas that demonstrate positive effects of TEACCH for both children and adults with autism are communication, motor skills, challenging behaviour, commitment, social behaviour, and self-determination. Good effects of TEACCH were also demonstrated by the parents of children with autism.
