I detta examensarbete har jag utforskat hur möbeltapetserarens kunskap om textil formgivning och hantverk kan utnyttjas för att uppdatera produkten stolsöverdrag. Mitt mål var att formge, produktutveckla och tillverka prototyper av stolsöverdrag till stolen NON, designad av Komplot Design för Källemo. Jag sökte svar på frågan hur stolsöverdrag kan förändra upplevelsen och relevansen av stolen. Arbetet genomfördes med ett utforskande arbetssätt där jag testade olika lösningar för att till slut landa i fyra olika produkter. Jag använde de tre aspekterna ergonomi, estetik och funktion som ett ramverk i arbetet och fördjupade mig i dessa aspekter med hjälp av litteratur, internetkällor och samtal. / In this degree project, I have explored how the upholsterer’s knowledge of textile design and craftsmanship can be used to update the product chair covers. My goal was to design, develop and manufacture prototypes of chair covers for the chair NON, designed by Komplot Design for Källemo. I sought answers to the question how chair covers can change the experience and relevance of the chair. The project was carried out with an exploratory working method where I tested different solutions to finally decide on four different products. I used the three aspects of ergonomics, aesthetics and function as a framework for the project and delved into these aspects through research in literature, internet and conversations.
