An investigation of contemporary dramatic art programs, theater plants, and production attitudes in one hundred and sixty-six public high schools of California

The existence of dramatic art activity at the secondary school level has been often accepted as expedient and profit- able. The objectives, nature, and operation of such & program are, however, topics for much dispute. An investigation of dramatic activity in our public high schools could drew a clearer picture of current dramatic activities in those schools responding to the study. Such definition might well lead to a better understanding of the problems peculiar to dramatic activity in the public nigh schools of California
