Bakgrund: Tidigare forskning visar att anhöriga vill bli bemötta med empati och respekt i samband med ett akut dödsfall. Det är också viktigt för anhöriga att tydlig och rak kommunikation är grunden i bemötandet från sjuksköterskan. Anhöriga som inte får stöd från sjuksköterskan i samband med eller en tid efter ett akut dödsfall kan drabbas av psykisk ohälsa. Syfte: Att beskriva sjuksköterskans erfarenheter av att bemöta anhöriga i samband med akuta dödsfall. Metod: Allmän litteraturöversikt enligt Friberg. Resultat: I resultatet framkom tre teman; Sjuksköterskans erfarenheter av anhörigas behov. Sjuksköterskan erfor att anhöriga kunde reagera olika vid ett dödsbesked och att det fanns ett behov hos anhöriga att få ta farväl av den avlidna; Sjuksköterskans erfarenheter av kommunikation med anhöriga. Kommunikationen skulle vara öppen och ärlig och både sjuksköterskan och anhöriga skulle komma till tals; Sjuksköterskans erfarenheter av bristande resurser. Brister i resurser som tid, personal och miljö påverkade sjuksköterskan negativt i bemötandet med anhöriga. Slutsats: Sjuksköterskan behövde kunskap och förståelse för hur anhöriga reagerade i samband med akuta dödsfall för att kunna bemöta anhöriga. Brister i resurser, såsom exempelvis tid och personal, sågs vara ett hinder för att kunna bygga en relation med anhöriga. / Background: Previous research show that relatives want to be treated with empathy and respect in the event of an acute death. It is also important that clear and direct communication are the building stones of the response from the nurse. Relatives who do not receive support from the nurse in the event of an acute death and after are in risk of suffer from mental illness. Purpose: Was to describe the nurse's experiences of dealing with relatives in connection with acute deaths. Method: A general literature review according to Friberg. Results: Three themes emerged in the results, The nurse's experiences of relative´s needs. There was a need for relatives to say goodbye to the deceased and to receive information surrounding the death. The nurse's experiences of communication with relatives. Communication should be open and honest, and both the nurse and relatives should be able to make their voice heard. The nurse's experiences of a lack of resources. Lack of resources in terms of time, staff and environment negatively affected the nurse in dealing with relatives. Conclusion: The nurse needed knowledge and understanding of how relatives reacted in acute deaths situations and how to respond. Lack of resources, such as time and personnel, was seen as an obstacle to being able to build a relationship with relatives.
