The purpose of this study is to delve into the role of social identity, identification and socialization among bouncers in Stockholm. In this text I have studied the night-time reality for bouncers in the night time economy of Stockholm. How do bouncers identify themselves, the perspective of an individual agent within a structural system? This study provides an insight into the community of bouncers, a cognizance into a community who works the doors of Stockholm. A community we often read about and most have an opinion on but rarely see anything other than a big guy behind a badge or a bullet-proof vest. This is a study about these very individuals known as bouncers. Keywords: bouncers, doormen, security guards, night-time economy, identity, community, culture
