De carne y hueso con tinta sangre : Un análisis sobre la representación del cuerpo en las crónicas urbanas de Pedro Lemebel / On flesh in blood : An analysis of the representation of the body in Pedro Lemebel's urban chronicles

Abstract In the compilation of the urban chronicles by Pedro Lemebel, Loco afán. Crónicas de sidario, the representation of the body is highlighted by the frequency in which it appears, as well as by the different forms in which it is presented. Several matters such as sexual diversity, AIDS, social injustice and marginalization, are given corporality and make way for connecting different aspects of the chilean society. The body as a phenomenon is unfolded in every social and cultural practice and by focusing on its representations, we can observe the meanings and connotations in which a political discourse is distinguished.
