We live in a world where ecosystems and biodiversity are declining at analarming rate. So far, efforts have not been sufficient to reverse the trend. Ifwe continue on the same path, the world will look very different in the nearfuture. The study examines how local actors can work with the economy andecosystem of biological diversity in agreement with the UN convention onbiological diversity goals, for long-term and sustainable management.
