Gröna tak : En studie av dagvattenhantering och fuktpåverkan för Sergelhusen i Stockholm

The purpose of this degree project is to study the possibilities of green roofs to reduce the risk of water accumulation and to analyze solutions to moisture damage that green roofs can cause. The purpose of the work is also to study the property managers' experiences and knowledge of stormwater management, moisture measures and factors that cause green roofs to be chosen. The various methods that have been used in this degree project are based on literature studies, interviews and case studies for Sergelhusen in central Stockholm. The literature study consists mostly of scientific articles, books, reviewed Internet sources and previous degree project  that is relevant to green roofs. The investigative part is based on severalf interview surveys. The purpose of the interview survey is to answer the questions and gain a deeper insight into the property managers' attitude about green roofs. The interview survey covers various questions asked to five property managers and one seller and a site visit was carried out in the city of Stockholm to an existing building with green roofs located in the middle of Stockholm Central, Sveavägen 2–10, Malmskillnadsgatan 9–17. The Sergelhouses with semi-intensive green roofs and extensive green roofs. Drawings for Sergelhus and the building were examined and then studied to develop the best possible solutions for moisture damage and how the green roof should be used in the best way to improve stormwater management. The infrastructure in Sergelhus was laid out in a way that is suitable for the drainage of stormwater and reduces it considerably. Because the roofs at Sergelhus have no slope, which means that it saves more rainwater than other buildings with varying roof slopes. The larger the area of a roof, the more volume water can be stored, according to a property manager. With frequent rainfall throughout the year, it was very appropriate to practically follow this concept with green roofs and the study also shows that property managers' initiatives come from an environment and sustainability thinking as green roofs reuse natural resources that benefit a more pleasant environment, good insulation and reduce temperature changes.
