The purpose of this study was to explore certified teacher’s perception concerning problematic school absenteeism and how they personally facilitate student attendance. Seven teachers were interviewed to obtain their perception of what may be the cause of students’ problematic school absenteeism and what they believed were the critical factors to succeed in bringing said students back to school. To summarize, the result of the study concludes that of previous research, that a combination of school-, individual-, and social factors which are the main reasons for students falling into problematic school absenteeism.
