Previous issue date: 2014-09-08 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This is a qualitative research that investigates the influence of the socio-cultural context on the social, cultural and aesthetic aspects. The research work includes interviews, questionnaires and photographs of people from two communities, São José and Santa Terezinha, the municipality of Urubici. The main lines of this study are: home, holidays and school. The home representing the place of shelter, intimacy, family inter-relationship and visiting people, the place where you can notice personal tastes, a particular and specific place which reveals aesthetic concepts in layout and choice of elements and objects that compose the family house. The festivities, which emphasize certain special occasions and involve multiple cohabitations, promoting social meetings, with diversified interaction between the individuals and their identities. And the school, as the primary link of interaction following the family, and that is still an environment where subjects exchange knowledge.The data allow us to understand that the teacher should appreciate the reality of each person, based on the aesthetics of everyday s life, such as to create opportunities for contextualized and meaningful education. The work also focuses on subjects like memory, affection, belonging and aesthetics. Memory is one of the fundamental concepts of the dissertation. It deals with the relationship between memories and elements of the socio-cultural context of the research subject. From the collected data it is possible to notice some details of cultural, social formation, aesthetics and subjectivity of those people who came to the region, influenced by various ethnicities and incorporating elements of their own mountain region, composing thus their intercultural education and identity. / Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa que busca investigar de que maneira o contexto sociocultural influencia nos repertórios sociais, culturais e estéticos dos sujeitos. A pesquisa contou com entrevistas, questionários e fotografias de moradores de duas comunidades, São José e Santa Terezinha, do município de Urubici. As categorias que norteiam esse estudo são: moradias, festividades e escola. A casa representando o lugar de abrigo, da intimidade, do convívio da família e de visitantes, o lugar onde se podem observar gostos pessoais, um lugar particular e especifico, que revela conceitos estéticos na disposição e escolha dos elementos e objetos que a constituem. As festividades que demarcam tempos e são também um espaço de múltiplas convivências, promovendo encontros sociais com inúmeras interações dos indivíduos envolvidos e de suas identidades. E a escola como principal meio de interação depois da família e que, ainda é, um ambiente onde os sujeitos trocam conhecimentos. Os dados permitem compreender que cabe ao professor valorizar a realidade de cada um, tendo como base a estética do cotidiano para assim oportunizar uma educação contextualizada e significativa. Entrelaçam-se no percurso do trabalho temas como a memória, afetividade, pertencimento e estética. A memória é um dos conceitos fundamentais da dissertação, pois trata da relação entre as recordações e os elementos do contexto sociocultural aos quais os sujeitos pesquisados pertencem. Diante dos dados coletados podem-se perceber detalhes da formação cultural, social, estética e da subjetividade desses sujeitos que chegaram à região influenciados por diversas etnias e incorporaram elementos da própria região serrana a sua formação, constituindo assim sua interculturalidade e identidade.
