In today's digital age, students must develop technology skills for various purposes, including music-making. To this end, the Swedish school system has mandated that music teachers incorporate digital tools for music-making into the curriculum for primary students from 1st to 9th grade. This essay examines integrating digital tools for music-making with primary students and the experiences of music teachers who have used these tools in their teaching. The study employed two methods, including interviews with two music teachers who participated in workshops organized by an organization’s project that focuses on digital tools for music- making with teachers and students. Additionally, observations were made during one of these workshops. The study's findings showed that the workshops have equipped the teachers with new knowledge on how to incorporate digital tools into their music teaching and that there are interactive methods to implement digital tools for music-making.
