Tem como objetivo principal explorar as possíveis contribuições da Teoria do Agir Comunicativo na construção de uma prática educacional diferenciada, visando seu uso eficaz no desenvolvimento de sujeitos reflexivos em um processo de emancipação. Este trabalho é resultado de uma pesquisa bibliográfica que tem como fundamentação teórica a Teoria do Agir Comunicativo, de Jürgen Habermas. Apresenta o autor ao leitor. Introduz os conceitos fundamentais de sua obra. Analisa a importância da linguagem em sua teoria. Busca fazer uma análise da sociedade e da educação atual. Pretende aplicar o referencial teórico na análise da educação. Apresenta a racionalidade comunicativa em superação da racionalidade instrumental e estratégica. Vê a escola como uma instituição que está localizada entre o mundo da vida e o sistema. Privilegia as ações voltadas ao entendimento, para uma conseqüente reflexão crítica dos indivíduos. Apresenta a linguagem como um meio para se chegar a emancipação. / The present work intends to examine the use of language, in the context of the teaching institution, which offers the intersubjective understanding among the individuals. The main objective is to explore the possible contributions of the Theory of Communicative Action in building a differentiated educational practice, to its effective use in the training of subjects in a process of emancipation. This study is the result of a bibliographical research and the theoretical referential is based on Jürgen Habermas' work, mainly in the Theory of Communicative Action. It introduces the author to the reader. It presents the fundamental concepts of Habermas' work and it examines the importance of language in his theory. It exposes an analysis about the society and the education. It intends to apply the theoretical referential in the analysis of the education. It displays the communicative rationality in overcome the instrumental and strategic rationality. It looks for to locate the school institution between the concepts world of life and system. It priorities the actions aimed at understanding, for a subsequent critical reflection of individuals. It presents the language as a means to achieve emancipation.
