Men denna situation innehåller också specifika regler och normer, vad som är accepterat vid ett matbord finns det begränsningar för. Till skillnad från många andra sociala situationer i samhället och på förskolan existerar regler som kan verka omotiverade i sitt sammanhang. Många av samhällsmedlemmarna i Sverige har deltagit i förskolan som institution och befunnit sig under dessa regler. Ämnet blir viktigt att studera eftersom en stor del av samhället påverkas av förskolans struktur och genom denna även måltidens struktur.Denna studie ämnar till att titta närmre på måltidens struktur på förskolan och vilka regler den innehåller, studien undersöker även hur situationen framträder som arena för socialisation. Empirin i studien består av utdrag ur en observation som gjordes på en avdelning på en förskola med tretton barn och tre pedagoger. Resultatet av observationen består av situationer som innehåller olika aspekter av måltidens struktur och regler. De situationerna studien tar upp syftar till att belysa olika delar av måltidens struktur för att få ett underlag till att studera måltiden som arena för socialisation. Analysen av resultatet utgår ifrån begreppet socialisation och söker stöd i socialisationsforskning som del av studiens teoretiska underlag. Den teoretiska del studien presenterar syftar även till att ge en grundläggande förståelse av begreppet socialisation och dess förhållande till individers sociala liv kopplat till de regler de möter i olika situationer i livet. Vidare underlag för studiens diskussion utgör tidigare forskning kring måltider och måltider på förskolan. De forskningsområden som studien redogör för tar upp forskning som håller särskild vikt för måltiden i förskolan och dess struktur.Studien syftar således till att vidare belysa förskolans måltid som arena för socialisation och hur den påverkar de individer som deltar och hur dem i sin tur kan påverka samhället. / Mealtimes in preschools are a social situation, as well as mealtimes in society. Many individuals take part in gathering for this situation shaped by social interaction. But the situation also involves specific rules and norms; there are limitations for what is allowed at a dinner table. As opposed to other social situations in society and in preschools the rules can seem unmotivated and out of context. Many members of the Swedish society has taken part in the preschool organization and lived under these rules. The subject of study becomes relevant since the structure of mealtimes in preschools affects a large amount of the Swedish population. This study means to take a closer look at the preschool structure of a mealtime and the rules it contains. The study examines how the situation can be seen as a prominent area for socialization. The empirical data in this study consists of extracts from an observation at a preschool consisting of thirteen children and three adults. The results of the observation are presented as situations surrounding different aspects of mealtime structure and rules, as a table of context to be able to research mealtime as an arena for socialization. The analyzing breakdown of the result uses the term socialization as a reference of study, as well as theories surrounding the subject as a theoretical basis. The basis of theory means to give a basic understanding of the term socialization and its relationship with peoples’ social lives and the rules they meet in everyday situations. As further ground for theoretical discussion, the study presents previous studies that contain important aspects of mealtimes in preschools, its structure and its rules. Thus this study proposes to further investigate the preschool mealtime as an arena for socialization and the circumstances affects on the people participating, as well as how it could affect society.
