Denna uppsats är skapad i syfte att ta reda på vilken instans en kompanichef vänder sig till då ett brott har uppstått på dennes förband, vänder de sig till civil polis eller militärpolis? För att få en större förståelse i dessa val får man även beskrivit varför de väljer att agera så som de gör. I arbetet får läsaren en insikt i vad en brottsutredning är samt vad som krävs för att genomföra en. Vidare efter att läsaren uppnått en förståelse så kommer ett intervjuunderlag ställt utifrån kompanichefers svar på frågor att presenteras. Efter att intervjuerna redovisats kan läsaren läsa tre hypoteser som i slutet av arbetet skall prövas i syfte att verifieras eller falsifieras. / This thesis is written with the intention of finding out which police authority a company commander contacts when a crime has been committed at his unit, does he contact the military police or the civilian police? To get a greater understanding why a company commander acts as he does, there will be an explanation on why they chose to act as they have done. In this report it will be explained what a criminal investigation is and what the requirements are to carry out one. Further on in the essay after the reader has achieved an understanding on criminal investigation there will be interview data presented of the interviews conducted with the company commanders. After the presentation of the interviews the reader will be able to read three hypotheses that will be tested in the end of the report.
