Previous issue date: 2009-06-29 / The program Educação para Jovens e Adultos (EJA) acquires space in the
educational system, since it is organized in defense of those who had their rights to
education taken off from the period of their regular lives. It is in this context that I
analyze the process of formation of the consensus on the view of education that was
guiding the quality of education of adult and youth people offered by RioEja, showing
the reality and illusion of a working population, besides discussing the interference in
the work relations of these students. For this, it is necessary to know a little of this
program and its process throughout history. A theoretical reference was proposed as
the dialectical method that is linked to a reality, world and life conception.
Accordingly, this research problem is: does the education provided by the project
RioEJA to employees of Rio Verde, meets the needs and expectations of employees/
students? Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze the employee student of
RioEja in the perspective of reality and illusion. The specific objectives are: to
investigate who the students/employees are, what they are seeking at the project,
what their social origin is, what their education is, what their expectations are when
they join the project, their plans for the future, and whether the education provided by
the project RioEja meets the expectations and perspectives of working students. This
was a qualitative bibliographic research. The field research was conducted at the
school where the last group of the project RioEja was attending classes. As our
object of study were people who were in constant motion, we used different
methodological procedures such as documentary analysis of law resolutions,
guidelines, from the project RioEja - questionnaires interviews with students from the
project and interviews with the coordinators of the project. Twenty-five questionnaires
and 9 interviews were applied. In conclusion, we observe that there is a struggle for
survival both in childhood as in adulthood. According to the research conducted,
working remains being the obstacle for many students to school, and working
students returned to school in search for a better job, believing that after completing
their studies they will get a good job or a better position at work. We also conclude
that it is left for us thinking about how to organize the school to meet the specific
specificity of students who work towards the growing changes that the educational
system and the job market have been going through. / A Educação de Jovens e Adul tos (EJA) adqui re espaço no sistema
educativo, v isto que se organiza em defesa daqueles que tiveram seus
direitos à escolarização retirados no período regular de suas vidas. É
nesse contexto que analiso o processo de formação do consenso sobre
a visão de educação que foi norteando a qual idade do ensino da
Educação de Jovens e Adultos oferecida pelo RioEJA, mostrando a
realidade e ilusão de uma população trabalhadora, além de discutir as
interferências nas relações de trabalho destes(as) educandos(as). Para
isso, fez-se necessário conhecer um pouco da Educação de Jovens e
Adultos e seu processo ao longo da história. Foi proposto como
referencial teórico o método dialét ico o qual está vinculado a uma
concepção de realidade, de mundo e de vida. Nesse sentido, o
problema desta investigação é: A educação oferecida pelo projeto
RioEja aos trabalhadores de Rio Verde, atende às necessidades e
expectativas dos trabalhadores/ estudantes? Portanto, o objetivo geral
deste estudo é analisar o trabalhador aluno do RioEja,na perspectiva
da realidade e da i lusão. Os objetivos específicos são: Investigar
quem são os estudantes/trabalhadores que procuram o projeto, qual a
sua origem social, sua formação, suas expectativas ao se inscreverem
no projeto e seus planos para o futuro, e anal isar se o ensino
ministrado pelo projeto RioEja corresponde às expectativas e às
perspectivas dos alunos trabalhadores. Esta investigação empreendeu
uma pesquisa bibliográfica do tipo qualitativa. A pesquisa de campo foi
realizada na escola onde funcionava a última turma do projeto RioEja.
Sendo o nosso objeto de estudo algo vivo e que está em constante
movimento, ut ilizamos vários procedimentos metodológicos como:
Análise documental de leis resoluções, diretrizes, do projeto RioEja;
questionários entrevistas com alunos(as) do projeto e também
entrevistas com as coordenadoras do projeto. Foram aplicados 25
questionários e 9 entrevistas. Ao concluir, nota-se que existe uma luta
pela sobrevivência tanto na infância quanto na vida adulta. Conforme
pesquisa realizada, o trabalho como atividade econômica continua
sendo o empecilho para que muitos alunos freqüentem a escola, e os
trabalhadores-alunos retornam à escola em busca de um emprego
melhor, acreditando que após concluir os estudos irão conseguir um
bom emprego ou uma colocação melhor. Conclui-se, também, que
resta-nos pensar em como organizar essa escola para atender as
especi ficidade e anseios desses alunos(as) trabalhadores(as) diante
das crescentes transformações pelas quais vem passando o sistema
educativo e também o mundo do trabalho.
