Previous issue date: 2015-05-29 / FACEPE / Nossa sociedade atribui sentidos ao modo de ser e agir das mulheres, e às práticas da maternidade em si. A politização essencialista desta temática ganha força especialmente por causa dos mitos que ainda permeiam esta experiência. O que está em jogo nessa questão é que a maternidade outorga um lugar, o de mãe, mas também o de mulher reprodutora, que independentemente das ordens colocadas, são construídas social e culturalmente sob diferentes formas, e que inevitavelmente passam pela linguagem. Desta feita, as atribuições e normas estabelecidas jamais poderão se aplicar a todas as mulheres, sobretudo por causa da complexidade desta temática, já que ela tanto se encontra circunscrita no plano biológico quanto no social, principalmente neste último. Destarte, reconhecendo a existência das dificuldades das mulheres, especialmente das mulheres com deficiência visual, esta investigação objetivou conhecer como a mulher com deficiência visual constrói discursivamente sua experiência da maternidade. Para tanto, fundamentou-se na perspectiva teórico-metodológica da Psicologia Social Discursiva, uma vez que trabalhar com a linguagem nesta perspectiva é trabalhar, portanto, com o discurso em si e com aquilo que ele produz, ou seja, as práticas sociais, pois ao mesmo tempo em que se constroem os discursos também se realizam construções da vida social. Assim, para ter acesso às falas dessas mulheres foi utilizada a entrevista não-dirigida, e o questionário sócio-demográfico para obter informações complementares sobre os dados pessoais e da maternidade. Foram entrevistadas sete mulheres com filhos/as em faixas etárias variadas, cuja idade mínima deles/as foi de um ano e três meses e a máxima de trinta e quatro anos. As participantes são vinculadas à Associação Pernambucana de Cegos – APEC, localizada na cidade do Recife, estado de Pernambuco, onde foi realizada a pesquisa. Os resultados apontaram cinco aspectos, que se destacaram, relacionados à experiência da maternidade: sentimentos ambivalentes; dificuldades nos cuidados com os/as filhos/as, sobretudo pelas questões socioeconômicas envolvidas e pelas posições de gênero implicadas neste arranjo social; ausência de apoio familiar e social; estigmatização de ser mãe com a ausência da visão, e finalmente; a idéia de amor materno sacrificial: uma posição de gênero e até de identidade, na qual a mulher com deficiência, com inúmeras barreiras sociais é levada a exercer os cuidados com os/as filhos/as e ainda assim não receber a legitimação social desta nova posição, limitando desta forma sua nova identidade como mãe. / Our society attributes meaning to the way of being and acting of women and maternity practices themselves. The essentialist politicization of this theme grows especially because of the myths that still permeate this experience. What is at stake in this matter is that maternity grants a place, as a mother, but also as a reproductive woman, that regardless the orders placed, are socially and culturally constructed under different ways and inevitably pass by language. This way, the established powers and rules can never be applied to all women, especially because of the complexity of this issue, once it is inserted both in the plan biological as in social, especially on the last. Thus, recognizing the existence of the difficulties of women, especially women with visual impairment, this research aimed to know how the women with visual impairment discursively build your experience of motherhood. For this, this research was based on the theoretical methodological perspective of Discursive Social Psychology, since working with the language in this perspective is to work with the speech itself and what it produces, that is the social practices, because at the same time the speeches are built, it also takes place in constructions of social life. So to have access to speech of these women, a non-directed interview and a socio-demographic questionnaire was used for further information on personal data and motherhood. Seven women with children from different ages, ranging from a year and three months to a maximum of thirty-four years old, were interviewed. The participants are linked to the Pernambuco Association for the Blind - APEC, located in the city of Recife, state of Pernambuco, where the survey was conducted. The results showed five aspects that stood out related to the experience of motherhood: ambivalent feelings, difficulties in taking care of the children, especially because of the socio-economic issues and the gender positions involved in this social arrangement; lack of family and social support; stigma of being a mother with the lack of vision; and finally, the idea of sacrificial maternal love: a gender position and even of identity, in which women with disabilities, with numerous social barriers, are taken to exercise the care of children and still not receive the social legitimization of this new position, thereby limiting their new identity as a mother.
