Utvecklingsarbetet syftar till att utveckla elevernas upplevelse av självtillit och samhörighet genom att använda interkulturell bildpedagogik som verktyg på fritidshemmet. Enligt skolledningen behöver fritidshemmets verksamhet struktureras upp. De ser att många av eleverna som finns på fritidshemmet inte har denna struktur och trygghet med sig från hemmen. Därför anser skolledningen att det är extra viktigt att eleverna får uppleva detta på fritidshemmet. Vi lät elevernas bilder avspegla deras bild av samhället de lever i. Aktionsforskning användes som metod för detta interkulturella bildprojekt som pågick under fem veckor. Det var femton elever från årskurs två som deltog. Bildprojektet planerades och utfördes vid nio tillfällen där eleverna fick skapa varsitt hus utifrån bilder tagna av hus som finns i skolans närområde. Tillsammans byggde de ett litet samhälle.Vi vill att eleverna ska få en förståelse för att vi alla är en del av vårt samhälle, våra erfarenheter och bakgrunder utvecklar vårt gemensamma samhälle. Eleverna och fritidshemmets personal intervjuades i fokussamtal i början av bildprojektet. Projektet dokumenterades genom ljudupptagningar av en fokusgrupp med personalen, fotografier av elevernas alster samt fältanteckningar. Intervjuerna visade att eleverna och personalen upplever fritidshemmet på olika sätt. Personalen anser att det kan vara ett tufft klimat, men eleverna upplever att de hjälper varandra. Resultatet av det genomförda utvecklingsarbetet visar att det finns ett tydligt behov av styrda aktiviteter. Vi såg att eleverna uppskattade interkulturell bildpedagogik. Det bidrog till att eleverna fick uppleva självtillit samt samhörighet på fritidshemmet. Eleverna var stolta över det de hade skapat tillsammans. / The development work aims to develop and strengthen the students' self-confidence as well as the experience of belonging by using intercultural art education as a tool in swedish after school. According to the scool management, the swedish after-school needs to be more structured. They have found many of the students who are there do not have this structure and security with them from home. Therefore, the school management believes that it is extra important for the students to experience this at the swedish after school. We used action research as a method for this intercultural artproject that lasted for five weeks. There were fifteen students from second grade registered.The art project was planned and executed on nine occasions where the students could create their own house based on pictures taken of the houses located in the school's immediate surroundings. Together they built a small community. We want the students to have an understanding that we are all a part in the community, it is our expreciences and backgrounds that develope our common community.The students and the staff in the swedish after-school were interviewed in groups at the beginning of the project. The project was documented through audio recordings of theinterview with the staff, photographs of the student’s arts and field notes. The interviews showed that students and staff experienced the swedish after-school in different ways. The staff thinks it can be a though climate, but the students feel that theyall help each other. The result of the complete development work shows that there is a clear need for controlled activities. We found that the students appreciated intercultural art-education. It helped the student to experience self-confidence and belonging at the swedish after school. The students were proud of what they had created together
