AI som hjälpmedel för pedagoger : I vilken utsträckning kan AI bemöta problematiken med stora elevgrupper? / AI as an aid for educators : To what extand can AI meet the challanges of large student groups?

AI has been a rapidly developing field in recent years. Among its many applications, utilizing it for education is one of them. AI for education is an expanding field with large potential for the future, that is already starting to see implementation today, and demonstrates the capacity for far more in the future. Simultaneously there has been a shortage of teachers in schools, who also often are required to manage large groups of students. This has been leading to additional workload for teachers, resulting in stress or needing to do additional work outside of working hours. Furthermore, it also negatively impacts the learning experience of the students, who will not have the opportunity to receive the support and guidance that they would require for the most optimal learning and growth to occur. The intersection between the developments in AI for education and the problems regarding large student groups that educators are facing, is that the former could potentially address the latter. AI can provide more sophisticated guidance and support for students, in a way that can to an extent emulate what an educator does. In this study, a mix of literature review and interview studies is used to further explore the extent to which AI as a digital aid can address the problems educators face in regard to large student groups.
