Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This paper aims to investigate Symposiums of sculpture and their provocations in the contemporary art field from an autobiographical narrative. Given that such Sculpture Symposiums gather sculptors in artistic residency during a certain period around the production and public sculptures discussion, and that such action also develops in public spaces, the goal is to analyze how these events constitute themselves as production spaces and artistic training, considering, from the author of the narrative, its potential reverberations in contemporary art scene. This research is motivated in the author experience itself and her inclusion in the Sculpture Symposia circuit. From the experienced meetings; perceptions and unique questions that emerged in this work seek to establish reflections that relate to the spaces caused by these events. Rescuing the experience as a participating artist and as an artist proponent of these Symposia, the text aims to reflect, between images and fragments of memory and the diary of the author; as such events are configured in contemporary society: what aspects are listed as regards the changes that cause the subject involved and the locations where they are performed. Therefore, the theoretical and methodological framework used is constructed from the autobiographical narrative perspective proposed by Hernandez and Rifá (2011). Concerning the Sculpture Symposia were taken as references Bulhões and her various writings that deal reflections on such events, from her experience and Abreu (2006) constituting historical record on them. The writings of the sculptor Francisco Gazitua are highlighted in respect of Symposia in Latin America in the same way, from the subjective perspective. With regard to contemporary art practice seek in Basbaum (2013) skills to think the action of the artist as contemporary circuit agent. / Este trabalho propõe investigar os Simpósios de Escultura e suas provocações no campo artístico contemporâneo a partir de uma narrativa autobiográfica. Tendo em vista que tais Simpósios de Escultura reúnem escultores em residência artística durante determinado período em torno da produção e discussão de esculturas públicas, e que tal ação desenvolve-se também em espaços públicos, o objetivo é analisar como esses eventos constituem-se enquanto espaços de produção e formação artística, considerando, a partir da narrativa da autora, suas potencialidades e reverberações no panorama contemporâneo da arte. A investigação motiva-se na própria experiência da autora e sua inserção neste circuito de Simpósios de Escultura. A partir dos encontros vivenciados; percepções e questionamentos singulares que foram emergindo neste trabalho buscam estabelecer reflexões que dizem respeito aos espaços provocados por esses eventos. Resgatando a vivência como artista participante e como artista propositora destes Simpósios, o texto busca refletir, entre imagens e fragmentos da memória e do diário da autora, como tais eventos se configuram na contemporaneidade: que aspectos são elencados no que diz respeito as transformações que provocam em um sujeito envolvido e nas localidades onde são realizados. Para tanto, o marco teórico-metodológico utilizado constrói-se a partir da perspectiva narrativa autobiográfica, proposta por Hernandez e Rifá (2011). A respeito dos Simpósios de Esculturas foram tomadas como referências Bulhões e seus diversos escritos que tratam de reflexões sobre tais eventos, a partir de sua vivência e Abreu (2006) que constitui registro histórico sobre os mesmos. Os escritos do escultor Francisco Gazitua são evidenciados no que diz respeito aos Simpósios na América Latina, da mesma forma, pela ótica subjetiva. No que tange a prática artística contemporânea busco em Basbaum (2013) fomentos para pensar a ação do artista como agente do circuito contemporâneo.
