Syftet med uppsatsen är att utifrån temat ledning i krig klarlägga den uppdragstaktiskametoden och innebörden av ett uppdrag ur ett svenskt perspektiv.Uppsatsen behandlar slutsatser från uppdragstaktiken och hur uppdrag bör formuleras för attoptimera effekterna av uppdragsbaserad ledning. För att beskriva miljön som slutsatsernahärstammar från beskrevs delar av det tyska västfälttåget 1940, i huvudsak XIX.Pansarkåren. Källorna var dels första- och andrahandsbeskrivningar för att beskrivaovanstående förlopp med slutsatser, dels analyserat material i form av såväl uppsatser somreglementen. Slutsatsernas relevans prövades sedan med teorin ”Command Concept”, följtav en analys där slutsatserna används för att pröva hypotesen. Resultatet visade atthypotesen var rimlig; Ett välformulerat uppdrag, med tydligt mål och syfte, är enförutsättning för att gripa och bibehålla initiativet. Resultatet visade också att följandepunkter bör framgå och förstås i ett välformulerat uppdrag:• Chefens avsikt• Situationen avseende bedömda utvecklingar• Tidsförhållanden och tempo• AnsvarsområdenUppsatsen avslutades med en reflekterande diskussion om slutsatsernas användning vidutbildning och övning. / The main purpose with the paper is, on the theme command in war, to analysemission-order tactics (“auftragstaktik”) from a Swedish perspective.The paper describes conclusions drawn from mission-order tactics and how toexpress the mission, in order to optimise the effects of mission-order tactics. Asa description of the environment that the conclusions were drawn from, theGerman 1940 campaign in the west were used, and mainly the XIX:th PanzerCorps records. The sources used were first- and second-hand records, but alsoanalysed material such as papers and manuals, i.e. more conclusive material.The conclusions were compared with the “Command Concept” theory, inorder to find out their relevancy. The result verifies the hypothesis; A missionwell expressed, with a clear aim and purpose, is a precondition for gaining andsustaining the initiative.
